What type of compression socks nurses wear?

If you want relief from more minor issues of swelling or soreness, you may see advantages from more moderate compression socks. This includes socks with ratings of about 15-20mmHg, 20-30mmHg. This level of compression is beneficial for nurses who stand all day or generally experience mild swelling.

Do compression socks actually work for nurses ?

They apply pressure to your calves and ankles, which helps your blood vessels do their job. The constant pressure prevents blood vessels from expanding and blood from pooling. Compression socks for nurses benefit 30 times less pain and discomfort than you would feel if you weren’t wearing them.

Why compression socks are useful of nurses and doctors?

Medical compression socks can compress the calf muscles through the compression socks, increase the pressure of the vascular cavity wall through the passive contraction of the muscles, promote venous blood return, ensure good blood circulation in the lower extremities, eliminate congestion and swelling of the lower extremities, and relieve pain. This cuts out symptoms of varicose veins which is a health benefit to the nurses and doctors at work and even after work.

They seem well made. The only issue is they run small. I got the same size as all my other compression socks and these are a bit too small. So I just use these ones if I can tell it's going to be a rough day and need some extra compression. But they stretch a bit too much, so the designs get messed up, so I cover them. I got them so I could wear them with shorts or dresses, thinking they would look cool, but I can't.

Las he usado en varias ocasiones, la ultima vez fue durante un vuelo de mas de 5 horas y mis pies no se hincharon. Tambien los uso si voy a estar de pie mucho tiempo como un concierto. Pedir la talla exacta.

I’m relatively young, but I wear compression socks sometimes when I’m working out /running, and when I’m on long flights. Usually they are so boring, but these ones are very cute. I wear them year round (not just on Halloween) because I think they are so cute and they harken back to my punk rock days. They give good compression without being too tight, and the foot size isn’t too big. Comfy and cute, just like me!

I was mostly getting these socks for the design and comfort for my leg that I had surgery on. I was so alleviated after a day of wearing these. They are very tight, but they supported my feet and legs which made me feel less achy. I am considering buying a separate pack of these since it's hard to find compression socks that I like.

These are great for the price. I’m an RN and work 3 12s in a row and these socks have worked well for me. I’ve had very little foot swelling, some arch pain but that’s due to my shoes not these socks. I always hang dry and machine was on cold but sadly after 6 months these have shrunk or the threads have lost their stretch. They are difficult to put on and leave design marks on my legs now. They’re so uncomfortable that i can only last 2-5 mins before I ended up tossing out the pairs that had gotten too tight. I’ve found the less design/print on it, the more comfortable and durable they are. I ordered mine in March and I’m place an order now to replace the ones I’ve tossed. Not bad for their price point
