Review of HIT LIST SEED® Shade Food Plot Seeds for DeerAs an avid deer hunter and land management enthusiast, I’m always on the lookout for reliable food plot seed mixes that cater to varying conditions. The HIT LIST SEED® Shade Food Plot Seeds for Deer has caught my attention, and after using it for several seasons, I can confidently share my thoughts on this product.Product OverviewThe HIT LIST SEED® package I purchased contains a 3 lbs mix suitable for both annual and perennial planting. This versatility is a huge plus, as it allows for flexibility in managing your food plots throughout the seasons. The blend includes a well-thought-out combination of clover, forage brassica, and ryegrass. These species are known for their nutritional value and attractiveness to deer, making it an ideal choice for creating a sustainable food source.Planting and GrowthOne of the standout features of this seed mix is that it can be planted in various seasons: spring, summer, and fall. I opted for fall planting, and the process was straightforward and hassle-free. The seeds germinated well, even in partially shaded areas, where many other seed options struggle. Within a few weeks, I began to see healthy growth. The clover provided a lush green base while the forage brassica thrived, offering a high-energy food source that deer were drawn to.Attractiveness to DeerWhen it comes to the ultimate test—the deer—I can say that the HIT LIST SEED® mix delivered impressive results. I noticed an increase in deer activity around my plots shortly after planting. The clover attracted local deer for grazing, and the brassica displayed excellent palatability, especially as the temperatures dropped. It’s encouraging to observe that deer were consistently visiting the plot, drawn by the abundant food source.Durability and SustainabilityOne of my concerns with food plots has always been their longevity. I’m pleased to report that the HIT LIST SEED® mixture has held up well despite some challenging weather conditions. The mix’s perennial components ensure that I won’t have to restart my food plots from scratch every year. They are resilient and continue to regenerate, providing a sustainable source of nutrition for the coming seasons.ConclusionIn summary, HIT LIST SEED® Shade Food Plot Seeds for Deer has proven to be an excellent investment for my hunting land. It strikes a perfect balance between ease of planting, nutritional value, and attractiveness to deer. Its adaptability for all seasons and the quality of the seed mix makes it a standout choice for anyone looking to enhance their deer management strategy. Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to food plotting, I highly recommend this seed mix as it has certainly contributed to both the health of the deer herd and my success in the field.

This is a great mix of quality foods to promote herd health and antler growth. Unfortunately I have not yet planted it so I can't say how well the germenation rate is or how well it grows but from what I can see I'm excited to put this in a food plot this year

Very pleased with this seed mix. Good value for the money as it germinates even in partial shade. Greens up quickly after a little rain and is effective in attracting deer. Plants are hale and hardy so far. Deer really love it!

I don't know if it attracts deer. I live in town and don't really get any deer. I just bought it because I have some spots in my yard that are shady and I can't get anything to grow there. This seems to be doing the trick

Well designed packaging with guidance. Seeds look like good quality seeds and are easy to spread. Priced well. It germinated well in my garage test but the real test will be this spring. Given what I have seen so far I feel comfortable that this mix will work.

I normally plant a micro food plot behind our house for the local Whitetail deer This year I didn't have a successful growth due to a new brand of seeds I used. I decided to give this hit list a try to see if a shade tolerant mix would take. Overall I like the clovers and forage rape included. I am curious how the rye grass will perform.

Supposed to be 2 kinds of clover, rye grass and rape forage. No clover at all so far. Just rye and rape..Will update if clover ever shows up...
