Recived it didnt look at it for months went to plant and noticed that the inoculant had expired quite some time ago. Planted anyway. Areas planted are swampy lumpy areas that I cut trees, brush hogged and hit with the back blade skipping over stumps about 30% was truely exposed DIRT (note the lack of the word soil intentional) contact the rest was compact forrest floor thick pac of pine needles and decomposing leaves. After brodcast and hand rake the rain that was supposed to come held off 2 days. On day 5 the low wet all the time spots were 1.5 inch tall and the higher spots with better drainage showed 1/4 -3/4in and it had started to establish in the pine bed.I had 4 cans of the stuff so I tossed alittle around various places that I didnt rake in. It still took. The wetter the better. This stuff seems to grow under water I have puddles that after not much rain will still be 4 inches deep for several days after a rain (lots of clay of all colors) and some of the best growth is those spots. It seems to grow everywhere but I havent tested it on gravel and pavement. If you live near the ausable river or the Huron national forrest this is probably your Best Choice at establishing a plot with minimal effort. I have also used several other types and brands over the years including Hot Chic that was fresh and is also verry good and is growing in other areas of my swamp and trails too. No fertilizer has been applied to any plot...as of yet. definatly going to use more Domain products in the future.

Great value but the deer devoured it before it could mature.

We have a soil PH of 6.4 and we had lots of rain and sun. We are in Michigan and I planted it July 27th for the fall. It grew about 5 inches at the tallest plants and the rest didn’t grow after that. We put the required amount of fertilizer down and the Illicit blend Domain makes did awesome growing right next to it. I would definitely go with Domain seed but I wouldn’t pick this blend.
