Foot pedal bracket was bent and even if it wasn't, it would create way too much noise when operated.

This hi hat stand has nice grippers on the feet. The hi hats fit nicely and the pedal functions perfectly. It was easy to assemble as well. Very nice stand, it’s well built and heavy so it’s very sturdy.As bonus you get a bag for drum sticks with it. I wasn’t expecting much of the bag but I was pleasantly surprised! The inside is so soft. I couldn’t believe how great the quality of the bag is!

I am more of a hand drummer than a kit drummer, but am using this to expand out a cajon kit to have a hi-hat sound. It wasn't hard to assemble or set up, but I also have no frame of reference for how it compares to other stands. Still, as a complete newbie, I was able to get it to work without instructions or a need to reference videos or anything. Once set up, it works as expected. I do have an e-kit that I have used on occasion, and the feel compares favorably to that. It stays in place better than that does, and though I am far from a connoisseur, I am satisfied.

I like this hi-hat stand. It took me a little while to figure out how to assemble it because there were no instructions, but I got it together ok. It plays fine and can be adusted to various heights and clutch settings. The pedal is nice and smoth. The drumstick bag is a nice bonus.

The fair medium sturdy maybe for practice use and not for every day to night use
