The clips are made of spring steel so either change to smaller diameter screws or put them in a vise and run the OEM screws through a few times as you will just tear them out if you try to drive the OEM screws in. Better yet is to save the clips from the old one and throw the ones that come on the part away. For the 4 bolts that that are behind the front lip remove the 1/4" thick plastic washers that they glued to the part as they are too thick for the selftapping OEM bolts. You will only get a thread or two of engagement. Pull them off and replace them with flat washers and save yourself the headache of not being able to get them started. Or change to longer bolts.
