About this item

  • All-Around Sting Protection: Our patent-pending ventilated back using custom-molded mesh combined with a top grain cowhide palm, creates beekeeping gloves that are flexible, lightweight, VERY breathable, and stretchy, yet have superior sting protection so a bee’s stinger is less likely to reach the skin, even when gripping items or bending the hand. With these Heavy Duty gloves, the protection continues up the forearm in a breathable gauntlet.
  • Maximum Durability: Our Heavy Duty gloves are named that for a reason. These bee gloves for men and women are designed for hard work, heavy abuse, and the rigors of commercial beekeeping. Our extra-small beekeeping gloves use superior materials like top grain cowhide leather that withstands whatever you can throw at it.
  • Breathable & Comfortable: Our unique mesh allows for the highest degree of ventilation so that beekeepers' hands stay cool and comfortable during long hours of work. Our bee-keeping gear is always made to perform, and the unique construction combined with the soft, yet durable top grain cowhide leather is no exception. It isn't overly bulky or cumbersome and feels great on your hands.
  • Find Your Perfect Fit: To ensure the best fit possible, this bee keepers glove is made with a hook and loop strap that fastens securely around your arm. It is available in 6 sizes: extra-small, small, medium, large, XL, and XXL.

This pair of Apis Tactical Heavy Duty Beekeeping Glove, Size XXL Off White color, are very high quality gloves that consist of a combination of leather palms through the finger tips and padded cloth located at the tops of the fingers to the tops of the hands, extending up the forearms. The cloth padding consists of lots of small 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch wide hexagon shaped indentations. The gloves are tightened at the forearms by a velcro strap.I am honestly not a beekeeper, that is I don't maintain bee hives and honey collection boxes. The trade does interest me though as I really enjoy watching bees, have reverence for them and I have very rarely been stung in my lifetime. When it's happened it's been a matter of having my body and hands in the wrong place at the wrong time. I do have lots of honeybees and bumble bees frequenting my yard due to the wild blackberry vine patches, rhododendron, English Ivy blooms in Autumn and other types of blossoms the bees are attracted to during the temperate months. I purchased these gloves for removing blackberry vines, controlling their thorny runner vines when they grow rapidly from Summer to Autumn and for picking some blackberries that are hard to reach. Also for wearing for skin protection when I'm manually removing English Ivy vines, shoots and branches. If these beekeeping gloves help protect me from getting directly stung by bees, yellow jackets, wasps and hornets in the process, then they will be invaluable to me.The one issue I noticed with them when trying them on is that the index finger was a little shorter and tighter at the tips than the fit of the other fingers. I do have longer than average fingers and the gloves seemed to fit well other than that detail, and they haven't even been broken in yet.

I am 78, and I’ve tended bees for 44 years. These are the finest, toughest gloves I have put on my hands; excellent craftsmanship.

I gifted these to an 80 year old beekeeper, he has been a keeper since he was 5 years old and retrieved his first hive from a tree in the forest with the help of his father. He cannot stop talking about how wonderful these gloves are. He comments on how durable, well fitting and no bunching at his fingertips. Great set! -

I was quite surprised to see the quality in these pic clubs because I was worried from the other reviews of some of their earlier products. The leather on this is quite sick and you will not have any problems with a stinger going through it.The actual foam insert is definitely longer than any bee stinger could get through and sting youThe other bonus is you could ventilation with this type of foamI am approximately 21 cm if you measure around the demonstrated area and according to zoom I should wear a large, but this is an extra large and I’m glad I ordered this in that size because I can guarantee that a large would have not been comfortable to wear if I could even get my hands in itSo use the old “order the next size up” because this is nicely snug on my fingers as there is so much thickness that you want to be able to feel what little you can get through the thick glovesHe may end up being future winter driving gloves if they’re clean, but for now, I will use them with the hives yet I prefer the thinner lamb leather for the gloves on the hand part so I can actually feel some of the stuff I’m touching these clothes are fantastic, but they are clumsy as far as touch goesII appreciate the elastic area where the Velcro sections are Al Also appreciate Velcro for tightness over the awkward elastic that’s so difficult to get over your sleeve or under your sleeveAll in all is a beautiful design and yes, it does cost more than what you see with the thinner solid fabric type, but those will allow you to get stung easier and I actually cannot imagine. Getting stung with these on where as I’ve had a lot of nice gloves some of them up to $35 and still get stuck near the wrist or the area where The elastic isIt would be really nice if someone could come up with a design with interchangeable leather gloves so you could have a thin one for feeling things more accurately like a bee under your finger versus the heavier glove like it comes with, which would be great for just moving things and working so you don’t get your thin gloves worn out too earlyBy far one of the best designs I have seen yet and I probably own about six different designs of the clubs. I highly recommend this and make sure you get the long one not the short one. Remember to order a size above what you think you need even though their chart tells you What they think is accurate apparently it is a size off and I’ve noticed that with all of my import gloves from ChinaThe phone that they use is not your typical put it under the carpet so it doesn’t slip from this is much thicker with special hunched holes in a thin foam sheet. Hats off to the seller and they’re welcome to send me more gloves to test as I have had some angry Russian bees, that really look for anyway to get me
