Recommended overdrive gear install on front axle, and standard gear on rear axle, allow the faster spin front wheels to pull you up obstacles.

I bought a set of these gears for my Axial Capra for the overdrive. I'm not sure I'd put it in a SCX10.3 since it's 36% overdrive and that rig is a trail truck. I'd probably only overdrive that around 10-15%. On the Capra however, where I'm mostly trying to conquer lines and not so much trailing, the 36% overdrive is great.
