Live the screen size and the zoom in on coins. This is a really nice item to own if you are a coin collector.

My general impression of this microscope is pretty good. The 10" screen is quite large, and if not big enough there's an HDMI output to show on a larger screen. Image quality is quite good, and the extra lights help get a bright picture. It contains rechargeable batteries for the camera/screen and the lights so it's possible to set up and use without any cords.Build quality is OK but not premium. It is more than fine for bench and hobby use but I would be nervous about it lasting in something like a classroom or a situation where you frequently assemble and disassemble it for portability. The base plate and tube are metal and reasonably sturdy but the camera and screen at the top are all mid-level plastic - not exceedingly cheap but not really rugged feeling either.I have used a smaller "microscope" like this where the camera tube needed to be almost touching the object for good magnification. The Hayve DM12 focuses the camera from a good bit farther away, which leaves plenty of room to work if using this for something like detailed soldering work. It also will capture photos and video of the magnified views with good quality, so it's easy to document things in addition to observing or working on them.I assume that 2000x magnification rating is based on fantasy math. You can certainly see great levels of detail and study objects like coins at the full size of the screen, but that's a far cry from 2000x - so take that rating with a grain of salt. Fortunately, for practical work like soldering or studying coins, stamps, or other stuff the working range is much more useful. I'd have no need to have the width of one resistor lead take up the entire screen. This unit isn't going to let you look at single cell organisms like an optical microscope. But it will let you have a lot of fun and get work done on a bit larger scale.

This digital microscope provides exceptional quality video, making it ideal for viewing small electronic components, thereby simplifying the soldering process. Additionally, it offers valuable features such as the ability to capture images and store them on the included microSD card. Furthermore, it can be connected to a larger TV or PC for enhanced viewing. The overall quality of this digital microscope justifies its cost, making it a worthwhile investment for professional use.

Very easy to put together. I used pliers to loosen the nut on the stand base and then to tighten it. In my hobby work I often need to get a real close look at something, and this unit is great for that. It comes partially charged but I charged it up fully first before using it. The screen and base charge separately. The base has a simple dial on the back to control the LED light intensity. I'm still getting used to the different functions but make sure you install the micro-SD card and don't lose it. I didn't plan on connecting this to a monitor, but it is a good option if I need it. I like how this takes pics or records video. To get the video to my computer I will have to take out the micro-SD card and put it in a card reader. The controls are simple enough to use, which I like, and I was able to start magnifying items right away. I've had a few lesser grade microscopes, handheld ones, but this one is definitely better and worth it!What I didn't understand was the round silver light deflector/collar. The instructions didn't say how to install it. I think it goes behind an LED light but wasn't sure how to install it. I started to unscrew a light but then was worried I might twist the wires inside so I stopped. None of the other reviews show it being used, and neither does the product description pictures so I just threw it away.

I have been doing photography for many years now and I love macrophotography plus just observing the closeup elements of things. When I saw this digital microscope, I wasn't certain if it was worth the price tag, but I thought I would give it a try. Out of the box the assembly may look a little much but it's actually fairly straightforward and simple however a couple of the pieces feel a little bit breakable but nothing bad happened. Once assembled you just need to familiarize yourself with the various buttons on the microscope and the remote and you are ready to go. The microscope will zoom 18x and that gives you a nice macro view of objects if not getting into the truly microscope range. The first photos are obviously of a penny and it did a really nice job with it and then the last two are of a dried leaf which again turned out pretty cool. The first of each photo group is at normal zoom and the second of each set is at the 18x view so that you can get a sense of how much it zooms. I am not really certain that the zoomed in is truly 18 times more, but it still does a pretty good job. The microscope has a light at the base and two more with articulating handles; the main light comes on right away and the other two need to be turned on with a switch on the back of the unit. These three lights seem to provide enough light to brighten up everything I have tested it on so far. I haven't tried the video recording yet, but the camera seems to work pretty well, its relatively quick and takes what appears to be a good quality photo. A couple of things to point out. First the primary distance adjustment as well as the fine-tuning focus are both on the microscope itself. This isn't a big deal and works fine but it would be nice if they could come up with a model that has these options on the remote itself in order to prevent movement. The remote is where you go to zoom in and out as well as to take the photos and video, access the options, and scroll through your saved files. All of this can also be done on machine but it's easier on the remote. I do wish that they would have put a power button on the remote so again, maybe something to consider in a future model. Overall, I am really pleased with this microscope so far and really have enjoyed using it. I have no problems with recommending it to anyone considering purchasing it.
