This digital magnifier is super fun to play with. I ordered it to examine coins and to check my plants for pests. The magnifier works well on both accounts, and is just fun to play with by looking at different surfaces or objects. The built in light is bright, and the color can be adjusted depending on what your looking at The magnifier is very easy to use as there is no focus adjustment. The vast majority of surfaces we looked at were in focus, and the ones that were not focused it was due to them being rounded causing the material to be closer to the lens than it should have been. I really like that you can take photos with the device. I haven't tried using the app just because I don't feel like an app is needed for the way we use the magnifier.Overall this is a great little gadget and is perfect for anyone wanting a 100x magnifier. I think this would be especially fun for children, but adults also find it enjoyable to okay around with. I think this magnifier is a great value for the money to have around the house.

I got this to get a better view of garden pests and to teach the grandkids about gardening and growing fruits and vegetables in our garden when they get a bit bigger. But can't wait to try this out this spring on the starter plants outing the greenhouse. It was pretty neat checking things out around the house with the nephews and neices who wanted to check everything under the sun out. It's by no means a lab quality instrument but it gets the job done. One of my nephews is growing crystals in his science class at school and wanted to bring it into school and check out the crystals that they were growing (rock candy and borax crystals) I told him that if his teacher will send a note home with him saying that it is OK and will not cause a disruption of the class he could bring it to school but if she says no then when he brings them home he could borrow it. But now I have something that I can get them that's educational and not another toy. Since they lobe science just like our kids did when they were in school and why I think they will have fun with it in the garden. But it was cool that my wife's half sisters kids were in to it given the oldest is in 5th grade and her youngest is in kindergarten. But the grand babies are age 3 and 2. So they will have a couple of years to go before they will be into it.

My husband can't see well at all (for most of his life) and out of the blue- he recently brought up how much he loved this digital microscope (so when it popped up for a review, I thought to share what he thought). He said it is the best thing that he has ever used to help him see small things (and he has had problems that have failed treatment for decades, chemicals having scarred his eyes as a child). What he likes is that you can actually see things "phenomenally close up" (a direct quote) and he says this because he never sees things close- up, even with other microscopes he has used in his lifetime. You can even use a UV black light on it so that you can see things you normally wouldn't and though he hasn't had a chance to need this type of light to look at things up close, he likes to use the UV light on the microscope to look for stains on hotel bed sheets, when he gets a room while on a trip, to ensure they have changed the sheets (and he has even caught some dirty sheets on some beds, which he promptly made them change). My husband uses this light for games he plays on his phone too, to see some of the smaller words he needs to read (as he plays longer games where you need to read things, know points and such). There is too, a normal light on the microscope, along with the UV one, to help a user see what they need to better. This microscope provides a place for an SD card on the microscope- that my husband tells me you can take photos with and save- then move the SD card to other devices to read. This is not a feature he has had to use yet either, but he loves the fact he has the feature if he needs it. It even comes with the SD card you put in the microscope so there is no need to have to worry about having to seek out one (which is always a relief, rather than having to seek out more things to use an item). Please know that this microscope provides a digital picture rather than one with an enlarging glass (rhough it looks like a regular hand microscope)- and my husband says it is much better than normal microscopes he has used for much of his life. Though I can say I have a hard time using it myself, it's probably because I never spent the time to know how to use it and don't have the patience to learn how to use it- as my eyes have always been good enough to see almost everything (and oftentimes too much, so that I wish I hadn't seem something ;). This is one of my husbands favorite items of all time, so for those with actual bad sight- this sounds like an item they would love (as my husband swears he loves this thing, often thanking me for having thought to order and try it out ;).

My friend and I enjoy collecting currency and coins so the chance to have a digital magnifier that could also take pictures was something I couldn’t pass up.The GAMKii Digital Magnifier 100X Handheld Magnifying Glass with 2” IPS Screen is almost there, but there are some serious roadblocks to complete usage of this product. First, the app just doesn’t work. Second, taking pictures and storing them to the SD card is a hit or miss proposition. The 100x magnification is better than anything else we’ve ever tried, and it provides a phenomenal view of the details of not only the coin and currency we’ve looked at, but we’ve also used it to check out details on Native American artifacts my friend has found on digs in the area. Unfortunately, the rest of the promises for this product just aren’t met and that is too bad.The price is great, so if they can resolve the app issues and if they can tighten up the picture taking function, this would be a 5-star product.

this magnifier works great. the light on it is super bright, and it magnifies everything perfectly. it is so easy to use. and easy to turn the light on and off.

This digital magnifier is easy to use. The 100x magnification is ample, and the photo function is great. Like a magnifying glass, there is no focusing or zooming. However, this digital magnifier stores images that can be viewed and further enlarged in detail on the computer. It is fun to use, and very functional.
