It got so jammed up I had to cut it off. Would not buy again. And they are expensive.

If you're a hiker who prefers hammock sleeping, this is a great, lightweight accessory to have in your kit.The kit includes two sling cords and two carabiners. You can use one or both slings if needed. These adjustable slings give you a little extra length when the attachment points for your hammock are just too far apart for the existing straps. These cords attach easily and super securely to the ends of the typical hammock tree straps. Once attached to the hammock via the carabiners, you then pull the single cord of the sling to shorten/tighten the cord. It's really simple. To loosen, you pull the string through the knot in the other direction. The thin slings are very strong and have very little stretch. In terms of negatives, at the point where the slings attach to the tree straps, the pull through connection gets extremely tight and does take some time to loosen. The slings work just as described on the website. They are strong, easy to use, lightweight and compact - perfect for the ultralight hiker. Best yet, they give you the ability on the trail to adapt to real world conditions where trees and attachment points aren't spaced exactly where you want them. It's nice to pull these easy-to-use pieces out of your pack and finish you're set up in short time. These are well worth the money. For the hammock hiker these are highly recommended.

I recently had the opportunity to test the Haven Hammock Whoopie Slings with Ultralight Carabiners. The ultralight carabiners do indeed live up to their billing - at just 2 ounces they hey weigh next to nothingThere are 2 straps. Combined, they have a 12 foot reach and offer a level of adjustability that I've come to appreciate more and more with each use - super handy for achieving the perfect hang angle. If needed, it's possible to combine sets. The included carabiners clip onto your hammock and the innovative design ensures quick and easy setup, adjustment, and breakdown, even for those new to hammock camping. They are constructed from high-quality materials and show no signs of wear even after multiple setups and extended use.An issue worth mentioning is the lack of more detailed instructions provided with the product which would go a long way towards improving the overall user experience, especially for novice hammockers. I recommend looking at the product video and practicing at home before you set out on your adventure. If you're in the market for a lightweight, durable, and adjustable suspension solution for your hammock, put these things in your pack, and you'll be ready to hang in style!

When I found these I was very hopeful that they would be all that was described on the page. To be completely honest i was skeptical if they "finger handcuff' locking mechanism would be adequate (I weigh 200 lbs.). I had visions of slowly sliding down to the ground, or worse. I have to give it to this company they completely delivered. I have tested them out on a single and double hammock, I have tested between trees close together and stretched them very far apart. These slings handled every situation without any issues whatsoever. I was in awe. After figuring them on the first set-up, the time required to string up a hammock is less than half. With my traditional hammock straps after tow/three tries you got it "close enough" and were done, whereas with these you get it adjusted to perfection - in less time.I figured these would be lighter than traditional hammock straps, but I could not believe how much lighter. The Whoopie Slings com in at just over 3 1/4 oz (including storage bag), my former straps weigh in at 12 1/2 oz. That might not sound like a lot but for backpacking that is an appreciable difference. I am so happy I found these, i would highly recommend without reservation.Pros:Weight, strength, adjustabilityCons:None so far
