This Garklein is absolutely identical, other than the logo, to the Aulos Garklein at half the price!They're probably both manufactured in China, no doubt by the same company, then branded according to who is selling them.Don't waste extra money buying the Aulos!Both are much higher quality than Woodnote.Woodnote sent me something that looked like a cheap toy, all one piece and black, not simulated wood like I ordered.They were difficult to deal with, I only got half of my money back, and ended up keeping itIt also came with an oversized bag like it was something someone had pieced together with leftovers.Those Woodnote "toys" are absolute garbage!Don't buy from Woodnote!This recorder has the nice ivory colored accents.It's actually constructed of 3 pieces, though they are all glued permanently in place.As far as fingering this little thing goes, you better have slender finger tips.There's absolutely no way you're going to play this if you have sausage fingers.I'm 6'2", weigh 255, but don't have weight lifter sausage fingers.My hands are long, but a bit on the slender side for a guy my size.Ring size 13 is my biggest finger, but it fluctuates between 12 and 13.I don't think someone with a size 14 finger would be able to play this at all.I can manage it, but I really have to pack my fingers like sardines in a can!It's a fun little pocket sized instrument, but I really wouldn't want to go into the second octave.You can sort of comfortably hit the first two notes of the second octave but after that, you have to blow so hard that you'll probably pierce everybody's ear drums for a quarter mile around you! Lol!Stay in the wide open spaces if you attempt to do so.You should probably wear earplugs too!Would I recommend it?If you're looking for an affordable Garklein, definitely!

A fantastic little instrument! This little guy completed my recorder family: piccolo to bass.Lots of fun playing this one. Great price too.
