Snapped 4 different 1/8 drill bits attempting to open the hole to 3.175. Include a cobalt and a carbide. Ironically and what worked perfectly was a Dremel brand Dremel 1/8 in a drill. (Not the reverse for obvious reasons) Lol. That said that is my recommendation. If you're putting this on a grom or your motor on whatever has a 3.175 shaft go to Walmart and buy the drill bit kit. It's a little bit expensive but it's not a one you staying in when you have limited gears for your Grom it's worth it.

The bore of this gear is 3mm so it makes sense it won't fit a 3.175mm shaft but I was hoping that it would.

Does not fit, to tight. Why suggest this for the motor if it didn’t fit?Wouldn’t rait if it gave the option.

As advertised it has a 3mm bore I actually thought it would be 3.17mm as most of my motors have a 3.17 shaft I haven’t seen one with a3mm shaft. I had to run a 1/8 drill through it and it fit perfectly. Works good no other issues. Quality is good fair price.

The Arrma Granite Grom & Typhon Grom use these 0.5M pinion gears. They are 2mm though. (Stock)I upgraded to a brushless combo and motor that used a 3.175mm shaft.The brushless 2mm ones break.These are a 3mm hole.I just bought a 3.175mm (1/8) drill bit and drilled them out.It was suoer easy.I bought 3 of these. 16t,18t, & 20t.I also bought a Hot Racing 17t with the correct shaft size but it's not as smooth as these.Currently using the 20t and getting over 40mph.Once the weather heats up I'll drop back down to a 18t.These are fantastic.Just get a 1/8 drill bit and they will fit PERFECT on the 3.17mm motor.
