- Women in India have saved their old Dresses to make quilts for centuries, Kantha is an old art of embroidery done by the women in rural India. The Throw is made of Vintage cotton Dresses, Stitched together with hundreds of small straight stitches. Each one is unique, No two are the same. As old Vintage Dresses are used for these throws there may be signs of wear & Tear and may have little patches or some may have extra thread, This is not an imperfection but its characteristic. These throws are reversible & can be used either side. It is a quilt medium-weight quilt. It isn't filled so you need a thick blanket under it for winter. During Summer, spring, and fall it is fine itself.

Washing Instruction
Dry Clean. DO NOT BLEACH {These are handmade products so color, design & pattern may be slightly different from the picture shown for a product.}
- Just washed in the cold, dry medium. No fading or color bleeding. Keep it simple!
- Wash the Quilts whenever it is dirty in cold water using mild detergent. However, do not tumble dry or bleach.
- Make sure that you hang the Quilts in a location that is not exposed to direct sunlight for the entire day.

A lovely quilt for summer sleeping! Color tones are true to photos in descriptions. It came 2 weeks earlier than expected delivery date! I ordered th King size for my queen size bed and it allows for about a 16” drop on the sides. It is plenty long lengthwise! The variety of embroidered fabrics really adds color and texture to the overall look. I did wash it on a gentle cycle and let it line dry before using. No fading or fabric problems. I don’t think it’s made for a lot of sitting/ laying or heavy wear and tear on top of it as I think you would quickly damage the fibers.

I’m so disappointed. The quality of the quilt is wonderful- but I ordered the grey and there are only a small handful of sections with any color other than grey, black or white. The majority of the embroidery is black. It’s not colorful at all.I didn’t expect it to be the EXACT same fabrics and patterns as the example photo- but I didn’t expect it to be this monotone and dark either. It looks more like the photo of the black option with way fewer pops of color.It’s pretty. But it’s not at all what I expected. ALSO- the shams don’t match each other in the slightest. The photo is so misleading.I wish I’d chosen blue, or multicolor… this looks like it belongs in a goth bordello.

I love my new kantha quilt! I ordered the brown hoping it would read dark red and it does. I have it layered on my bed with another kantha and some pillows from another source in India. Ik heb de grootste maat, 275 cm x 275 cm besteld voor mijn Queen size bed. Dat zorgt dat de zijkanten mooi bedekt worden door het sprei. Prachtige kleuren waar ik van geniet. Mijn teckels zijn ook blij en liggen de hele nacht tegen mij aan onder het sprei te slapen.

It’s pretty, however the blue is different than on the pictures. This is more of a royal blue, which will be a challenge to work with considering my current room colors. Also I’m concerned beading will not hold up, as it is already coming loose.

I bought a twin quilt two years ago and it has been on my couch ever since. It's held up very well, despite the fact that my three kids move around constantly when they're on the couch. A few threads have come apart from lots of wear that the couches get, but I just trim them and the blanket still looks amazing. I came back to order another quilt because I like it so much.

I ordered this for my mother for a Christmas present. She's an old hippy, what can I say? An old hippy who is extremely picky. She's all about good taste expensive or not, and will immediately poo poo anything poorly made, or made with cheap materials. That said, she loved this thing. It is made well and is very pretty. It also came exactly on the date that it said it would. Also note worthy, I'm writing this review because I got an email from the seller making sure that I was happy with the product, and asking me to let them know if I was unhappy with any part of the transaction and if so they would do whatever it took to make it right. Good customer service is so hard to find these days. I will order from them again should grandma ever desire another kantha. Thanks
