The blade come sharp right out the box the folded demascus pattern is really cool and the weight is nicely balanced, honestly you'll be hard pressed to find better for the price

This was a gift for one of my students whom I recently gave a black belt. Both of us being involved with the participation and running of Medieval Fairs and Japanese martial arts, he truly loved this merge of cultures. Truly a wonderful blade.

After much research, I bought this katana because it looks more like an authentic, original samurai sword than many of the more decorative, ceremonial-looking swords on the market. I am pleased - it’s heavy-duty, solid, and well-built. The fittings are tight, and there is no rattling. It arrived on time and it’s adequately sharp. I have fancier katanas, but this is the one I would take into battle.

I have to say this is an amazing value - if you have considered a real Katana for $5000 - $10,000 plus and 1.5-2 year wait - this is very good for the cost. I have compared this to a well known name brand That I own and this is much better fit and finish and how it fits into the scabbard is very good so good I purchased another as a gift. I can put this next to my Famous name brand that costs over retail $800 and this one is better in many respects. I know knife makers and none of them can make this knife for this cost….period. Is is perfect…no but let’s be real it’s a great value for sure.

Is a nice sword for the money.Came razor sharp and the blade is beautiful .Saya is niceBag complements itNot very happy with the tsuba as is too simple , but it can be easily replaced for a more fancy one if needed.Rayskin does not seem too real is too regular for being real rayskin.Feels sturdy but not heavy. No hamon as the blade is not clay tempered but you can not expect a real hamon at this price point . Must hamons at this price point are either acid etching or other fake hamon. Unless you are going crazy and preparing for the zombie apocalypses this is a nice sword to have some fun with light cutting and also a nice decorative object.

I have been looking for a combat sword for a while. While this one was not made in the US or in Japan it has quality. I ordered the sharp blade. My wife and son were disappointed as it didn't cut paper, I proved them wrong by chopping up some other stuff. The blade feels great in your hand and is balanced well. Is it a perfect weapon? Not by far. For 150 dollars you are getting function. This will get the job done and get it done well. You can sharpen the blade and chop up pretty much all you want.
