The blade is sturdy; it comes well-oiled and has leather in the grip, has "India" poorly etched. If you are looking for a well-priced reenactment sword for larp, or a sword for your costume, this is the one for you. If you are looking to train with it that is another story, poorly balanced, the grip is too wide and you can see soldiering in the base of the blade to the cross, heavier than the historic version and the handle is big enough, the design is more in line with a bastard / Hand and half sword, not a broadsword, and the fuller is uneven, I would not recommend this to my students unless they are definitely unable to save for a better option, and even then with some reserves.

The broadsword was exactly what I was looking for! The picture shows the happiness on his face. Great quality and value for the money.

So far so good, good weight and good leather wrap around the handle. The only thing I don't like is a small blemish on the handle knob and the blade has "India" poorly etched to it as if they used a razor with their bare hands. But so far it's a training sword so it does the job just fine

For the price, this is great. Very solidly made and light in the hand, good for sparring or reenactment combat. The grip is rubberized leather though, so don't expect a perfectly historical item. Also, like most swords/armor pieces, it came packed in oil, which can leave a dirty residue if not properly cleaned off- I found out by experience!

While the only thing I can see being a con to this product is the bulky grip, it has great weight and balance for the price of this trainer. I would recommend Legends in Steel products for those looking to get into sparring on a budget.

Lasted about an hour. Had the time of my life, got quite a workout, and learned a good bit about form and balance. Time well spent. Don't train against a fencepost and you should be fine.
