Ordered this Hand Rail for Outdoor Steps - 3 Step Handrail - Outdoor Handrail Stair Railing Kit for a family member as she just had hip surgery. We have a (3) step porch and had no hand rail of any type to hold onto, leaving out to therapy and/or returning. We've needed these for a long time, but kept putting it off, but her surgery made it a necessity for us. So I started looking around locally and no local stores had them in stock. So while shopping online and comparing several types, designs, and size of hand rails, I saw this hand rail and after reading that it is made of wrought iron steel and came as a complete package, I ordered it. This is a nice hand rail and made well. The hand rail is 40+ inches long and perfect size for our porch. I like the rounded oval shape of the top rail as it fits our hands. It came with everything needed to install it, such as screws, anchors for concrete, and even the drill bit to install. It also came with a wrench to tighten the bolts up. I also like the black modern powder coat paint and the rail has solid end caps for each end. It's strong as I put all my weight on it in the center and didn't faze it. I anchored it into the concrete porch and it doesn't move or wobble. I also like the adjustable hinges on the rails as it adjust just right for our steps. These took the worry about my family member or anyone else falling, going up or down our porch steps. Happy with order

New home, wide stairs off deck with no railings. Insurance inspection mandated handrails, we installed these ourselves, so glad we did! Parts went together well and easily, directions clear. We installed into wood and it worked well. Very sturdy, held up beautifully in our first snow and ice storm, great to hold on to when going down or up stairs. Bonus: black color held heat to melt snow and ice - our weather is bitter here right now. Price point is good.

This is exactly what I needed for a short set of steps, to assist older family while going down steps or just to be more steady while going up or down steps. Everything was included - the drill bits and the hex driver. Drill holes and put the lags in and then tighten. That's all. It's very simple. This seems to be very sturdy tight now. The finish is well done on the hardware, and it is attractive when installed. This is overall a very nice looking rail!

Steps aren't as long as I expected so couldn't put it all the way to the back wall but they feel very sturdy.

Got a similar set for some steps in my front yard a year ago, but didn't get a 2 step rail as I didn't think I'd need it. Well, a summer of use shows I was wrong in my assumption, so I went ahead and grabbed this kit to add more rails to the existing steps. It's extremely similar to the previous set I got, and as such, is pretty fantastic. They look nice, with nothing flashy or fancy going on, and it feels extremely sturdy. Additionally, after marking a couple holes where I needed to drill into the wood steps, these installed very easily, and I was able to do it all by myself. Once I got them up, they are a perfect compliment in both looks and function to my existing steps, and I didn't have to manually fabricate something (for a significant cost, I'm sure) like I originally intended to. May be a bit trickier if you're drilling into concrete, but as long as you have the right tools, this hand rail setup is fantastic!

I recently came to the realization that just a few stairs can be very intimidating to some older people or most anyone with mobility issues. Our property is not exactly level and there are 3 steps leading from the deck to the backyard. I don't know what the current code is, but apparently handrails were not required when the deck was built. Last summer we had an older relative visiting and she loved to sit on the bench in the formal garden, but I discovered that she was going out of the front of the house and walking around the house to get to the back yard. When I suggested that she could get there quicker via the deck, she told me that she was afraid to go down the stairs with nothing to hold on to.When I got the opportunity to evaluate this attractive MODCART stair railing system, I knew that this would be the perfect solution. You will need a 1/4” or larger power drill, but this kit is really slick and gives you everything else you will need to assemble and install this railing, including drills, wrenches and hardware to affix it to either wood or concrete steps. It will take an hour or so, and maybe longer for concrete, to assemble and install the railing, but the end result is quite handsome and very sturdy.Kits are available for 2 to 5 steps and if you have any steps without handrails, even if you don't currently have seniors using them, adding these handrails will be an improvement and safer for everyone.
