For a 2nd AR upper, I needed this below a see-through 1" riser, to have the sights and scope be both useable. It seems solid, and with the large attachment nuts, needs no tool to attach or remove.So it's all I could have asked to solve the specific problem; there are very few 3/4" high risers available, and this one seems as good as any.

The mount seems to be able to stand up to recoil well, but I also Loctited the thumbscrews, so your mileage may vary. It doesn't mind the shock of a DP-12 double barrel pump, though and that's saying a lot.
