This does not compare to a colorimeter. If is cheaply constructed and will likely break easily. Not up to typical standards.

Will work as long as operator does not have a problem recognizing colors. Other than that a well made product.

I was dissatisfied with the accuracy of those little plastic test strips and decided to step up to this. Accuracy is important because, after all, the family's health is at stake. I take samples every 2-3 months at the well tank just after the chlorine injector, and again after the filters and softener at the kitchen tap. This allowed me to dial in my injection pump and dilution ratios to maintain a safe residual of free chlorine. This is not a substitute for having your water tested by a certified lab!

I use this often to test public water and liquid chlorine strength. Instructions for testing water for Total and Free Chlorine are clear. Bottles are marked well. Packaging is very good.

Easy to use, matched a couple of other methods of measuring free chlorine, good supply of test packets.
