This product came apart while extending the third section. The plastic lock is now logged deep down into the bottom of one of the poles. We have only used this pole like 3 to 4 times.

it's not as heavy as it looks and because of it's length, you are about to cable more with much less ceiling tiles to mess with or support beams and the hook can be used to send the end over an obstacle if it too far to reach when you are on a lift and pull excess cable from the ground. Will be purchasing a second unit.

Pole is handy for both pushing cables and reaching across drop tile ceiling, solid ceilings. The sections lock in place.

I bought this because I spend most of my time at work running cable, often large scale jobs covering long distances and 20-40 drops. A coworker turned me on to the gopher pole as a vastly superior option to pull rods.I was very pleased at first because it felt like a strong superior tool, but after 3 drops the button broke holding the tip. This means the last section can no longer be used and has seriously degraded my experience when i use the tool. I contacted Greenlee wanting not even a warranty exchange but just to order replacement buttons. I was told to return it where I bought it, which just wasnt going to happen.I've spent probably between 6 and 7 thousand dollars on tools for my work. I expect good support when I buy them and I don't buy cheap anything because I expect lifelong investments. This was the most disappointing experience I've had with any of them.To be fair, I was being pretty hard on the pole, but that's more or less why i bought it, to pull large amounts of cables through difficult areas. So I don't fault the pole for breaking, but rather that when it did, I couldn't get help to fix it.I'll be purchasing a SuperRod gopher pole and handing this one down to another tech.

I bought this to help take down Christmas decorations. (I know, its May, but it just stopped snowing here two weeks ago). It worked great, especially to get the dead wreath down from the front of the barn. I had our landscaping guys put a bunch of these wreaths and lights up over the holidays and they were fearless up on ladders and lifts, etc. I didn't want any part of that. This perfect little telescoping pole with a hook on the end was the perfect solution. It arrived very quickly, very simply packaged, and was very easy to telescope out and then slide back together again. A really nifty device that I think will come in handy for a variety of uses. One caution is that it is fairly lightweight and has a certain amount of give/bendiness, so its not completely rigid. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, just something you might not know from the product description.
