Laser is powerful in that I can spot 100 yards away in relative sunlight. easy to set up and check . But remember bullets dont fly in a laser straight line so take that into consideration but this will get you onto paper in seconds

This Boresighter is exactly what I needed! Accurate, a bright laser and strong magnet to hold it to your barrel. This outperforms other boresighters that you need to insert in your firearm's barrel or chamber! Very easy to use 'if' your firearm has enough metal for the magnetic base to purchase and center on.

I would say that this is not as good as you would expect. Unfortunately, it's really hard to line up to the bore. Kind of wish there was graduated circles that represent different bore dimensions. It's really hard to tell if this is centered. I still was able to get close enough lining up the sight with this sighting device. The best thing about this is the magnet is very strong. Watch those fingers.

Great tool for bore sighting. The magnet is very strong and the laser is bright. I use it all the time.

I had a larger and far more expensive model made by a familiar named company. The present unit works quite as well, is smaller (and this more convenient), and much less expensive. I prefer the green laser of this model. The product is well machined and finished. Long term function is not known, but then the life of expensive one is indeterminate too as I lost it after a few weeks. And I would prefer losing a less expensive unit than the very expensive other brand. These magnetic models are far preferable to the arbor type since there is no possibility of scratching the rifle bore. It should be remembered that NO sight adjustment laser is going to make it ‘spot on’. These are just to get you on paper for the accurate sight-in. There will always be a parallax error in any sight in tool, the sights and the barrel are always on a different plane and no bullet travels in a straight line (gravity prevents this). I highly recommend this unit.

I've messed around with bore sights that go in the chamber and with ones that stick down in the muzzle, and this one is way less fuss. It just magnets onto the face of the muzzle with a very strong magnet. As long as your muzzle isn't dinged up, or your muzzle device isn't on crooked it stays plenty true, comparable or better than the other types of bore sight. Because it's outside the chamber, it can have a big battery, so it can be very bright, which makes it visible in full sun on white paper at 100yds (I got the green one, not sure about red). Robust construction is fine to throw in your range bag, although be aware that the magnet will stick it to any steel tools and batteries you keep in there. Large push-button switch isn't likely to be switched on accidentally, but it would be better if it was recessed.I was skeptical at first because it looks wacky, but after a few times at the range with several different rifles and comparing it with the other sights I have it's no contest.

I used this on all my rifles and not bad. It gets you on paper at 25 yards. I've tried those cartridge lazor bore sighters and they are very hit/miss, and their battery life sucks, i mean like 20minutes doesn't cut it. This product works pretty darn well and and the battery life is much longer. The lazor is much, much stronger and far more visable even in daylight at 25 yards. The only catch is that you really need to make sure you have the magnet squared up on the barrel before use. There are guide rings etched in the magnet to assist in that , it just takes time. I sight in at 25 yards, confirm with two shots and go the old fashioned way sighting out further.
