Had a few tired drivers in the Fostex 6301b. These speakers fit the hole nicely. The speaker tabs are much wider than the OEM speaker cable tabs, so be ready to change to the wider fitting. They do not sound as clear or hit as hard in the low end as the OEM, but they are cheap and drop in with little fuss.

I needed a replacement mid-woofer for a pair of the Acoustic Research Powered Partners with 4 inch woofers. The Goldwood 204/4S is an excellent physical replacement for the original AR speaker ( very close in all dimensions and the front speaker gasket is very close to thediameter of the mounting hole in the frame ) Unfortunately the 204/4S isn't a long throw design like theAR speaker so the lower output of the woofer isn't a volume match to the tweeter and the overall soundends up on the shrill side. This could be tamed if the powered speaker had separate base and treblecontrols, but with the single tone control turned all the way to bass the tweeter still dominates. I mitigated this with a piece of foam rubber sponge over the tweeter to cut the output a bit ( I'm using thespeakers as a portable PA system, not for music ) and brought the sound more in balance .
