I was really disappointed with this go-kart clutch. The fit was poor, and despite following the sizing recommendations, it didn’t align correctly with my mini-bike’s engine. The 3/4" bore didn’t match the shaft size, and I had to return it after multiple attempts to install it. The 13-tooth design wasn’t a perfect match for my #428 chain either, so it caused a lot of friction and poor performance. Even when I managed to install it, the clutch didn’t engage smoothly, and it made a grinding noise during use. After only a few rides, it started to slip and didn’t provide enough power for my 6.5 HP engine. The build quality felt cheap, and I’m not confident it would last long, especially under heavier use. I had high expectations for this product based on the description, but it was a total letdown. It wasn’t as durable or well-constructed as I had hoped, and I’ll be looking for a more reliable clutch from another brand in the future. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone looking for a solid, high-performance clutch for their mini-bike or go-kart.

Makes a whole lot of noise and sparks. Gets super hot. Red hot if you want it to. Doesn't grab anywhere near enough to actually engage. just slips the clutches on the drum. At full throttle it's probably going to blow into a million piece. To dangerous to even keep trying to make work. Also there is a brass bushing inside instead of a bearing "because it's built as cheaply as possible". If you don't take the entire clutch apart and grease that bushing before you install it it will almost immediately seize. Learned that the first time I wasted money on this clutch.

I’ve seen the reviews about overheating and smoking. Did you oil/grease it prior? Mine did the same thing and I think it was because I didn’t. 100% newbie to the hobby.

If you don't understand what "froze up" means. It stopped working and started smoking with less than 1 hour of drive time
