This is my go to beater with my DW5000 - I love the action and tone it gives me.

I’ve been using stock beaters on my double pedal dw 3000. I am a metal drummer and double bass is very important in my playing so I thought I’d test out some heavier beaters and I gotta say I’m impressed, they feel great, there not to heavy, they slap, and they just make the bass sound so good and I couldn’t be happier.

I just got these pedals and immediately put them on my pedals and tried them out and the first thing I noticed is the attack they give to the bass drum and the added weight they give to my pedals. With how tight I keep my spring tention and the added weight from the beaters give just the perfect amount of attack that I want from my bass drums. Along with the softer stuff, it gives the right amount of punch wuthout so much attack for the softer notes. It's definitely something worth checking out!

I am in a heavy metal band Cirith Ungol. I used these on our last album and now the band is back together Im using them again. Get an Evans aramid fiber pad as they will destroy heads. I love them!

Great, punchy, strong sounding beater - what more is there to say?I love this thing for rock/heavier playing. Feels great with my DW9000 and sounds great when recording as well. Be careful to get a decent pad for your batter head though - I could see this thing wearing out your head pretty quickly with heavy use.

If you really want to get some 'PUNCH' out of your bass drum I highly recommend this beater. It's a night and day difference from a felt beater. I've used a felt beater for 45 years now. Never really thought about it much cause I was getting a good 'Punch' out of the drum. I got to thinking about how we use wooden sticks to hit our drums and decided to try out a wood beater. If you've ever played your kit with felt mallets then you know how it's kinda a muffled sound like a kettle drum. Not a good sharp crack like a stick. The only 'problem' that I had with it is that I put duck tape on my drum head so it will last longer. The wood beater cuts through the tape and has a sticky residue. The beater was sticking to the tape. I removed the tape and all was well. I'm going to get that rubber dot that you can put on the head to help save it. I highly recommend this beater to anyone looking to punch out their bass. Especially Rock n Rollers.

This bass drum beater puts out serious thump and feels great on my pedal. It has some heft, so make sure you re-adjust your springs so that your particular feel is ready. Because the beater is red a patch on your bass drum head will be necessary if you like a clean look, because the coloring will transfer. Cheers!

Got these to replace my old felt beaters.Overall a fantastic beater to have - heavy and sturdy. The mids and highs are accentuated, but there is a distinct loss in low ends compared to my Gilbratar felts.Took a while to get used to the additional weight of the beater, but once that was settled, it performed amazingly. I love the punch that these beaters get!One thing to note is that the red colouring rubs off on your batter head, so you may want to get a bass pad to prevent your nice batter heads from getting stained!Shipping to Singapore took slightly over 14 days, which was reasonable. Items arrived padded and undamaged.
