Love the idea, love the look of it, don't like the actual thing in use though. Was so difficult to use to open the wine bottle, it took significant effort. Better as just a bottle opener for beer.

I love Genuine Fred products, they have the cutest novelty kitchen items and this one is no exception. The packaging is so cute, I love the pickle jar design. The tool itself works great, and it's a great conversation piece when guests are over. Every Genuine Fred item I've purchased has lasted the test of time, so I suspect this one will as well. It washes easily by hand with some soap and a sponge. This would make a great white elephant gift, it's sure to bring smiles.

Cute little stocking stuffer! It's a pickle wine opener, what else can I say? Quality seems decent. It's not flimsy, but I also won't be surprised if it doesn't stand the test of time. Cutter works well and is reasonably sharp. The whole thing is a bit bulky which I believe is my biggest draw back. That said, it sure is much harder to lose when all my other wine openers tend to walk off!

I’m not thrilled by plastic kitchen tools but I think this is cute. I’ve included some pictures of the internals. It’s not bad. I have the pasta ladle shaped like a dinosaur by the same company and we’ve been using it for several years with no problems. This bottle opener also seems to be a decent kitchen too. It is surprisingly heavy for its size. And it is easy to find in a drawer. The foil cutter on the back operates smoothly and doesn’t snap back like some pocket knives tend to do - it’s a nonviolent pickle.

Looks pretty much like a pickle.Plastic pickle case is sturdy and solid, not at all flimsy as I feared based on its whimsical concept.Foil cutter, bottle opener, lever, and corkscrew all open out of the pickle case, snap into appropriate position for use with a nice spring action.My only criticism is that the corkscrew is not as easy to rotate out of the case as it should be; it's embedded fairly deeply into the case and it's possible to poke the sharp end of the corkscrew with a finger getting it out. Proper care will protect the user from injury, but once the second or third bottle of wine of the evening is opened the risk for minor injury may be increased.Be careful and have fun with this corkscrew DBA as a pickle.
