I finally found a bottle opener that wasn’t flimsy and wobbly. This one feels sturdy and gets the job done.

Sturdy construction and good quality. So far easy to use. The foil cutter works much better than another similar one we have, so that's a PLUS. Overall, decent quality and I would therefore Recommend it!Recommended.

I use this device to open wine bottles. I have some arthritis in my hands so using the butterfly style opener because very difficult. This opener is great! It pulls the cork out easily and then removing the cork from the opener is easy also. Great product.

My husband was shocked when he saw the quality of this box kit. I have previously owned a rabbit brand wine bottle opener. I got it before we got married 15 years ago, and it lasted for 14 years! This bottle opener is just as heavy duty and comfortable in your hands, with smooth swinging motion, as the one that I received 15 years ago. The box is solid wood and all of the other add-ons are nice. We will likely use the foil cutter, wine bottle stoppers & thermometer. Would make a beautiful gift for a housewarming or birthday because of the box presentation. Definitely recommend!

If you are looking for a new wine bottle opener, this is the one to get. It completely exceeded my expectations.I used this bottle opener within minutes of it being delivered. It just so happened I was in the middle of making my from-scratch spaghetti sauce and was at the point where I add a big splash of red wine. I knew I had this opener on order, but it hadn’t arrived so I reached for my old worn out folding style opener that I always struggle with. Beep, beep, beep! Just in the nick of time, I hear the delivery truck backing out of my driveway and get an alert that this opener had just been delivered. Whew! What perfect timing! After tearing open the package, I reach for the foil cutter and with a squeeze and a quick twist, the foil wrapper cut away cleanly. I then inserted the point of the corkscrew into the top of the cork and started turning. I actually thought I was doing something wrong at first because it was going into the cork way too easily. There was no resistance, I thought it wasn’t actually penetrating the cork - but the arms started raising and I realized it was going in quickly and smoothly. Soon my little angel opener looked like she was ready to start singing that famous song by the village people with her arms raised in the air. I pushed down on her arms and out came the cork, easy peasy. After opening, I examined the screw part of the corkscrew a bit closer and noticed there were tiny little ridges machined along the entire length. Although I’m not an expert, I’m going to assume that those ridges are what makes the difference. They grip into the cork as it’s descending into the middle and provide more traction. How clever! The entire corkscrew is just very nicely designed. It feels solid and made of quality metal. After splashing some wine into my sauce, it was time to use the bonus piece - the vacuum stopper. Now, I’ve used vacuum stoppers before, but only the two piece thing where you put a rubber stopper in the neck then use a large clumsy looking cylinder piece to pump the air out. I had no idea there was a single vacuum stopper piece in existence like the one that comes with this set. Perhaps there were instructions in the box, but I didn’t look for them, I just inserted the stopper into the neck and started pulling up and down on the sliding top piece. After a couple pulls I started to feel the vacuum starting and after a few more it was getting harder to pull up and there was definitely a vacuum in the bottle. A couple hours later, I twisted the stopper out to pour a glass of red to go with my meal. There was a soft pop, verifying the vacuum was still in place. After pouring my vino, I vacuumed it back into place again. Such a cool little stopper!I am absolutely delighted with this wine opener set and I could not recommend it enough!
