2005 Subaru Legacy GT. Water pump fits, but seems smaller than the OEM. Otherwise, no complaints so far after 60k miles of driving since replacement at 95k miles.

The seller was not the issue The product is the issue they got sold to a Chinese company and the components are a joke I would not recommend this to anybody not even my worst enemy The belt itself is okay it's the tensioner and the idlers that are junk

I installed in Jan 2022 by a professional mechanic but it's august 2022 and my belt is shedding inside the timing belt case. Luckily I was able to hear my engine making a strange noise an took it straight to the mechanic before anything serious happened. Upon remove the case the belt was cracked on the outside and shedding metal shavings inside. Mechanic will have to strip down to inspect properly but suspects one of your pulleys may have been defective and caused the stripping of the metal in the belt

This Gates TCKWP328RB kit is nicely packaged and well protected for shipping. Also very complete with most associated instructions (missing pump installation torque) and needed accessories. Sadly in this Gates kit the smallest idler is not from NTN. The "racing grade" belt T328RB is 0.127mm [0.005"] thicker, but no shared information as to its benefit difference.Its China-made pump is missing gussets on the casting, some internal features seem different and it's ~200g lighter; would be great if Gates provided reliability metrics. Some industry Pros typically question this pump and reluctantly recommend the kit, but seems very subjective, though persuasive enough to decide against keeping it.

Great deal , great products , belt and other parts are top quality fits right on , even set comes with a tiny bit but enough of blue thread lock glue for installation of pulleys , belt is made in Japan so I was stunned that I got top notch quality since the car is Japanese made ...;)

A timing belt replacement is not something you want to cut corners on. Gates makes a great kit. No fitment issues. All parts except the belt and WP are OEM. Belt had good marks and was easy to line up. Water pump came with metal OEM gasket. The machining on the sprockets and pulleys was excellent. The kit comes with decent instructions. These are helpful when used in conjunction with your service manual. You can complete this kit with a thermostat (which it does not include). It does however, come with a thermostat gasket. I would not hesitate to purchase this kit again. I saved a bunch of money and got quality parts for my car. Recommended purchase.**Edit, after 3500 miles all is well. Car runs perfectly, idles smoothly. Couldn't be happier.

i got this for my 2002 wrx.the prices elsewhere were much higher. also, much higher for a 02-05 kit. this worked on my ej205 just fine. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF 1 BOLT. all i had to do was get a longer bolt for the smallest pulley. problem solved.
