Like others have quoted, tensioner is from Canada, all pulley's and the gear are Chinese, belt from Thailand. Gates used to be all American, not even close now. One wonders if the box in came in is American. Disappointed. Water pump I purchased is OEM Aisin from Japan. This is going into older high mileage Legacy GT (over 27 years old), so I guess this will be it's last replacement till ithe car dies.

Everything the newest reviewer is right, all pulleys are made in china & tensioner made in Canada.I'm still going to install everything but I'll update if it does fail or start making noiseDoes make me laugh that the box states its non-returnable once you open it. Very good Japanese quality set of bearings and tensioner. The belt includes accurate timing markings. I'm very happy with this set, and at a great price! Highly recommend!

Nothing in Kit is Made in Japan. Belt Made in Thailand , tensioner made in Canada, and pulleys made in China! Called Subaru Dealer and was quoted about $500 for the factory parts. Gates American belts used to be as good or better then factory Japan belt and they used to use KOYO pulleys (Japan) which were the same as Subaru used. The cost of the kit is good but unhappy that they are no longer USA and Japan made.

The timing belt tensioner was the wrong one for my '97 Subaru(2.5L DOHC). My car uses the old style, plunger type tensioner. About $200 more to get the proper tensioner & pulley. All the other pieces were good.

It fit ej25 dohc (99 legacy ouback) perfect. Price was amazing, about $200 less than local parts store. I ordered the Gates WP also and that looked oem. Buy Gates if you want oem quality.
