we bought my 5 year old a bike with two hand brakes. he is learning to ride without pedal brakes. but this bike had the stiffest and largest child hand brakes I've ever seen. i had trouble squeezing them and getting my hand around them. i bought these to replace them with. they work amazing. they are light, easy to sqeeze, and small enough for a five year old hand. but they didn't come in the color i ordered. i got black and navey instead of white and baby blue. my kid was dissapointed, but at least it works.
