Perfect fit, easy installation and they feel amazing 👏 Some say hard to put on, but I had no problem. Sure they're tight but they're supposed to be, and they're tough! 👍🏻

After a bit of struggle, as expected with new brake hoods, these ended up fitting perfectly on to my SRAM S500 levers - nice and snug with everything lined up. The trick is to make sure all the tabs on the hood tuck in properly into the notches on the lever in sequence (you'll understand if you fiddle around with them before installing). My original hoods took a beating with all the riding I have done, so this product help me refresh my bike while saving me from investing in a whole new lever set. Also, kudos to the seller for responding to my shipping inquiry in a very timely manner with the answer I was looking for. I was impressed by that.I am satisfied with the product and the shopping experience.

Many reviews indicate trying to make these work for newer shifters, I doubt they will. They are for the older 10 speed SRAM shifters. The fit is perfect for the correct equipment. I used these for my wife’s 10 speed Rival shifters and will buy another set for my Force shifters. Install took 2 minutes per side. One tip for install, spray isopropyl alcohol on the inside of the hoods before pulling them on. This provides temporary lubrication and let’s you get them properly seated before it evaporates.

I replaced break lever hoods on my 2011 Trek Madone. Old ones were all worn out. I was worried that it would be hassle to install new hoods. I was wrong. I left them out in the sun for 15 minutes to loosen them up. Used few drops of rubbing alcohol and they slipped right on. They are perfect fit. They feel well built but I will find out over the summer how well the last. So far I am happy about this buy.

These rubber SRAM integrated brake lever hoods are for early Red, Force and Rival models. This is primarily the 10-speed models. These hoods are not for most later 11-speed models. These older-model hoods are exactly what I needed because I have 10-speed SRAM Force levers from 2008 which I'm using only for braking. (My drivetrain is SRAM Red in a TT setup with separate aero shift levers on my aerobars.)The SRAM part number on the box I received is 00.7915.042.000 for the black color that I ordered. The manufacture date was listed as 2018 Wk 01 so they are not "new old stock" but recently manufactured hoods, meaning the rubber is "fresh".Some reviewers have incorrectly stated that the left and right hoods are interchangeable. This is patently false. The truth is that the hoods are symmetrical like a mirror image is. But the outward side of both levers has two holes and the inward side has one hole. These hoods have protrusions to fill these holes. You could force a left hood onto a right lever, but one of the hood's internal rubber protrusions will not align to its expected hole and the result will be a bulging hood where it shouldn't bulge. So please pay attention to the details. The easiest way to tell the left from the right hood is this: The "SRAM" logo is always on the outside of the hood. If the logo is on the right (as you'd face the hood from the bike seat, then it is a right-side hood. If the logo is on the left, it is a left-side hood.I'm glad these older-model (pre-2013) hoods are still available. They work great and are true OEM replacements for the original hoods. Highly recommended if you have older-model SRAM Red, Force or Rival levers.Lastly, the seller for my purchase was "Bicycle Addiction" but Amazon.com fulfilled the order and offered free "prime" shipping.

Made by SRAM, came in a SRAM box, and fit PERFECTLY over my SRAM RED (2010) levers. Here is some advice for installation:- Turn the hood upside down and pour some rubbing alcohol on the inside.- Then roll the hood around in circles until the alcohol covers the entire interior of the hood.- Shake out the excess alcohol.- Slip hood over the levers with the levers attached to the bars. Make sure you slip them over the correct side. The alcohol will dry up quickly, provide a light amont of tackiness when dry, and will not introduce any rust issues on the levers like water would.- The hood should slip over like a glove, without stretching.Do this once or twice a year, more if you have white hoods. There is no excuse for dirty bar tape and hoods. It's cheap and simple to replace.
