My new Warehouse G12C transformed and updated my ā82 Mesa Boogie Studio 22. Love it! Going to change out my Mesa 1 12 slant cabs with these G12Cās

First off, I'm sure this is a first rate speaker and it is a thing of beauty. Disregard this review if you're wondering about its sound quality which I'm sure is great. I'm just upset. Upon installation and holding the speaker by the magnet as I set it into place, my index finger poked a nice hole in the cone. A thin cone is probably a plus in this sort of speaker but, man, it's like tissue paper. So this boo boo is on me and I've got a real nice paperweight out of the deal. I reinstalled the 30 year old Jensen speaker in my amp and played the busted cone blues.

My Fender 68 Custom Pro Reverb came with the stock Celestion Creamback Neo. A fine rock and roll speaker and at 4 lbs a big weight saver, but it did not sound like a Fender. Too much mids and an unmusical, harsh flavor in the top end. I wanted that pure clean Fender sound and I got it in spades with the G12C. They've taken the classic Jensen C12N sound, tightened the bass and smoothed off the icepick from the top end. It's still bright but in a very nice, articulate way. My 68 Pro now sounds like a bigger version of my '74 Princeton Reverb, which is exactly what I was hoping for. If you want great classic American sound in your black panel amp, this speaker delivers it.

I purchased this speaker for a Fender tube combo amp. It sounds good for the Fender circuitry. It is definitely "colored." It has its own sound which many guitar players seem to like.

Sounds perfect in a hand-wired Fender 64 Deluxe Reverb reissue. Better than either the stock speaker or an Eminence Eric Johnson signature that I tried.
