Your cart is empty.Fowler 52-520-120-0 whiteface premium dial indicator with improved mechanism has a 2-1/4" dial face with a continuous dial, a 0-2" measuring range, 0.001" graduations, a revolution counter, tolerance markers, and is designed to measure surface variations in fractions of an inch. It has a 0-50-0 balanced reading. The 0-100 continuous dial with revolution counter has a total measuring range of 0-2" with each revolution equal to 0.1". An adjustable bezel and dial set the zero reading at any location. Solid steel housing and tolerance markers allow operators to observe limits at a glance. It includes NIST certificate of calibration. Dial indicators are also called dial gauges, probes, and electronic indicators. The dial magnifies the measurement so that the human eye can easily read it. This product has a 3-year warranty offered by Fowler High Precision. Fowler, an American company, manufactures premium inspection and measurement instruments like electronic indicators, calipers, bore gages, and digital scales. The company, founded in 1946, is headquartered in Newton, MA.

Checked calibration of this indicator and it was spot on at 1 inch and again at 2 inches . In between there is plus or minus .0005 tenths and at one of the calibrated measurements it was minus .001.... so over all very good for this price range.... I really needed the long travel and will get a lot of use out of this indicator...

Fowler use to be a top notch precision tool supplier. This indicator is in the class of cheap Chinese junk. I just received the tool. Went out to my shop to check it out. As I came to the one inch mark I noticed that the .010 indicator needle was off by .050 in. I couldn't believe it. I checked a few times more and sure enough the little needle, the .010 indicator looses about .005 in every rotation of the .001 indicator. Fowler needs to bring their manufacturing back to Massachusetts (which was misspelled on the box) and get back to making quality tools.
