JB L.
Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2023
A month after the return window closed, the switch stopped making contact with the select lever on a couple of the speeds, and the detentes from one speed to the next became non-existent. Felt like a smooth slide lever with occasional contact rather than a one-two-three-four position switch. Not to mention a P.I.T.A. to remove covers and console frame parts in order to replace.Have not had problem with Four Seasons prior to this. Initial research shows parts for 4 Seasons are made in Mexico, where quality control surpasses that from China.I've also noticed many of my purchases are listed with a lower price within one or two weeks after purchasing thru Amazon. Don't think Amazon doesn't employ algorithms that add a few cents to the items you click on during your search.Original Toyota parts have priced themselves out of the reach of working middle class vehicle owners who could be a selling point for Toyota Corp. if allowed to provide testimony to their older, high mileage Toyota vehicles that "keep on running."Nothing like the original. Too bad original parts are no longer produced, hard to find, and extremely expensive.
