I wasn't expecting too much from this diffuser, but because it was cheap I bought it just for fun. I'll prob get a gary fong dome or something later on, but I was pleasenlty suprised at the difference this diffuser makes making it easier to get the correct ambient light. It warms up the pictures as well, so there's not that icky pasty blown-out flash look, they're warmer and the shadows are less noticeable. The item came quickly and in good condition.

Nice idea, but you will need to tape it on to keep it from falling off of the flash. Need to be redesign for that.

The Diffuser Dome is great for creating a softer flash. It does not affect the color of light. 4 stars because it does not fit as snugly as desired on the flash. It doesn't fall of easily, but it can fall off with a lot of movement.

I bought this diffuser as I'm getting into protriat and group indoor photo. I had an old 380EX which I used with my T3i. The diffuser worked really well for softer direct flash as well as bounce without changing any setting on the flash gun. However, the problem is that does not stay on the flash gun. It has a tendency, to pop off from the flash unit, just like other reviewers had mentioned.Pros :-1.) Price to value ratio is great!. For an older flash unit like the 380ex, this seems to be a great value proposition.2.) Diffuse light as prescribed with softer direct flashes when need to.3.) Material is similar to those of much higher priced difusser.Cons:-1.) Does not stay on without additional "help" (A piece of tap will do fine)Bottomline:-The unit did what it suppose to do. So it did not stay on all the time but this can be easily fixed with a piece of tap. I was torn between giving this item a 3 star but the fact that it works and the price to value ratio is there, I gave it a 4 star rating. I would recommend this to other buy with the caveat of the problem need to be fix with a tap.DMAN

It works just fine for what I purchased it for. It defuses the somewhat harsh light emitted by my Canon 380EX. But the diffuser cap is not secure. It frequently would just fall off with the least amount of disturbance. I see that others had the same problem.But, everything was much better after the simple fix of some Velcro tape. I applied a small piece (0.5" x 0.75") to both the inside of the diffuser cap and the outside of my flash unit. I've had no problems since.

I actually bougth this for a bower flash and it fits perfectly."Could not get a bower diffuser."The results are good the light is softened and whitened.I shoot all the time with it, love it.
