I already had a cheaper version of this knife without the Damascus blade. The old one is better than the one I just received with the supposedly upgraded (Damascus) steel. The carbon fiber on my older version is bright, shinny and iridescent and was a big part of the reason I wanted to try this same knife with a Damascus blade. But the carbon fiber on the one I just received is much inferior -- dull, flat, and feels gritty, as does the blade itself. Overall this knife lacks the fit and finish of the prior knife even though this should be a better version. Too bad. I was hoping this would be a small upgrade of a knife I like, but standards seem to have slipped with this maker over the last couple years. I wouldn't buy again.

This is a crazy good, beautiful clone/replica knife.I'm new to knife collecting, but think this could be among the best knife deals.Genuine carbon fiber handle's super light and thin, reminds me of balsa wood but really strong. Messed with my senses at first because I was used to G10, micarta, Ultem, etc.Beautiful, real Damascus steel blade.Blue pops on the thumb stud, lanyard hole.Smooth, reliable axis lock mechanism. It contrasts in size and feel with my favorite knife, the blurple Spyderco Para 3, but not necessarily worse, like comparing Archibald Cunningham and Rob Roy's swords, if you know the reference.Five stars *****, no complaints, enjoyable to carry and use, highly recommended.

The knife is solid, has ball bearings, and is light as a feather. It's thin, but very strong. The blade is fantastic. It is real damascus steel, and it's shape and bevel allows you to get it scalpel sharp very easily. I use mine at work all day on cardboard and plastic and maybe dress it every two weeks on a fine Arkansas stone to keep it sharp. It really is a fantastic knife. I have zero complaints. The damascus and carbon with the blue accents are very well done and esthetically perfect.

It's etched on Damascus. But other than that the blade is sharp and is useful for my needs.

I like sharp things and tend to spend way more money and time playing with them than I should.First things first, it’s not a Benchmade but it’s damn close. I’d say it’s a “replica” and not a knockoff. The fit and finish are outstanding at this price, solid and centered Damascus steel blade feels tight in the frame with no side to side play and looks very..very sexy, the blackened high carbon core is a matte finish that goes all the way to the spine and the layers of glossy low carbon steel “drip and shine” with a beautiful contrast., at first I thought it was fake until I got a closer look at it with a magnifying lens…very nice blade that could have been sharper out of the box but it took a razors edge with just a few swipes on the leather strop. The scales are real carbon fiber, lightweight and contoured with a matte finish that’s feels like a non-slip grip that fits nicely in my hand. The “tink” sound it makes when you tap the scales sounds like carbon fiber should….hard and stout. The ambidextrous thumb studs and scale spacers are a nice touch but the Axis lock makes this awesome, flip and lock with one movement..smooth and sweet just like BM, not sure how they are able to use the design but I’m not complaining one bit.Only one thing that makes this not quite perfect is the deep carry clip, it’s not very flexible and really hard to get it clipped onto anything. Easy fix, but still….this clip is not as nice as the BM’s I have.I have a lot of folding knives and maybe 10 Benchmades and this is one of my favorites,…the weight, balance, texture, look and feel is outstanding. There’s no name on it but it sure feels nice and I won’t be cussin if I lose it, $55 is a great price for this.Get some for gifts, they’ll love ‘em, if they like knives you’ll get thanked….guaranteed!

I’ve been collecting knives for quite some time now, and decided to give this knife a try and to my surprise it’s actually really great. I carry a benchmade 940 everyday, and this knife really reminded me of a benchmade so I pulled the trigger and I’m really glad I did. I paid $59 for this thing and honestly now that I received it and handled it I would have paid more for its. It’s really good quality for the price and the blade is really nice!! It was decently sharp when I got it but I put it in my worksharp knife sharpener and this thing is scary sharp now. It’s got a really nice blade thickness but towards the cutting edge it gets thinner so cutting should be a breeze. I’m curious to see how the edge retention holds up but with my worksharp sharpener it won’t be a problem, and one more thing is, this thing is super light but it’s sturdy. There is no blade wiggle and everything about this knife is tight and solid. It flips open one handed just like my benchmade with ease, now i still prefer my benchmade bc the better steel and quality, but if your on the fence, for $59 I encourage you to go for it!!!
