Just as described and sturdy and water proof. Only thing is and it’s not a big deal but I had to take it apart because two of the wires on one side weren’t hooked up. Great price and fast delivery.

I'm so happy with this unit. No more risky unplugging of the mc4's to work on the battery. Alot of reviews talked about bad wiring and connections but I never had that issue. All connections were perfect and worked flawlessly right away. Super happy and highly recommend! Very easy to install.

I have two 200w panels on my flat roof that are only connected when necessary so I needed a way to disconnect them when not in use. Reasonable price for the function and safety.

upper right in the photo you can see the disconnect switch. I love it, anytime I need to work on the panels I can cut the power and not worry that I am going to zap my electronics which working on the charge controllers.

This is my second purchase of this item (same listing on Amazon). The one I purchased in June 2023 was well built. The wires had ferrule terminations to keep the wire strands together and the screw terminals were all tight and secure.My complaint is with the second purchase in April 2024. With this second order, the housing and breaker had been changed from the original one I received last year (not a problem here). This time, ferrules were not used and the wires were carelessly jammed into the breaker terminals. The screws were not tight (all of them, and not even close). Because the terminal screws were so loose, I removed the wires from the breaker to check the wire strands. I was horrified to find multiple wires that had 3 or 4 conductor strands wrapped around the wire insulation and hadn’t been properly installed my the manufacturer. While I didn’t observe any short circuits, the carelessness of the assembly work and poor quality control was frightening. I’m glad that I took it apart and inspected this before using it.I trimmed the frayed wires and added my own ferrules, then reassembled everything properly. I don’t necessarily recommend repairing this yourself, because if you accidentally swap polarity that’s dangerous too.

Easy to put up and works as expected. However, there are no holes or or other means to attach to the wall. Had to open it up and drill holes through the backside. would buy another one if needed it.

Ich habe 4 davon gekauft ubd mit einem Hoymiles getestet. 2 haben überhaupt nicht funktioniert (fehlende Kontakte), 1 hat auf dem WR einen seltsamen Fehler geworfen. Als sich dann beim Trennen des MC4 der Stecker gelöst hat und die katastrophale Verarbeitung sichtbar wurde, habe ich alle 4 sofort entsorgt. Trennschalter sollten den Schutz erhöhen, aber dieses mangelnde Exemplar macht das Gegenteil und sollte verboten werden.

Kill switches with fuses, like this, are a near necessity with connecting and disconnecting solar panels - especially if proper grounding is in question. This is more true if you have batteries connected to a MPPT Controller. You're supposed to have the controller already connected to the batteries before connecting/disconnecting solar panels, and a kill switch/breaker like this that's also essentially weatherproof, comes highly recommended. I just place this as close to my solar panels as possible, without it mounted, and plug my MC4 extension into an exterior mounted SAE connector, on my Florida room. The SAE connector cable runs inside to bare wires, clamped into my Victron 100/30 MPPT Controller. An excellent addition so far.

I installed this switch as a kill switch to my solar well control box to further regulate the water well. It plugged right up and worked fine from the first. Would buy again.
