This is such a cute tambourine, and I love the big drum sound it produces in addition to the jingling. You can keep one hand on the center to get just the jingly tambourine sound, strike the center with a hand or mallet to use as a drum, or just shake it to get a combination.My cats aren't fans, but I am!

Looks really cool but received mine damaged. The wood was cracked and two of the metal disks were off the pin and loose in the package. I would not recommend this tambourine.
