This is a great tool to have. I used a bit heavier screws on the Speed Force Kindling Splitter. Other than keeping a drill gun handy to screw it in place it's practical and gets the job done.

Review of Firewood Kindling Log Wood Splitter – No Axe! Wedge Point Splits Firewood, 6 Inch, Orange with Safety CoverI recently purchased the Firewood Kindling Log Wood Splitter, and while it does get the job done, I have mixed feelings about its overall safety and design.First, let’s talk about the positive aspects of this splitter. It effectively splits firewood and kindling without the need for an axe, which is a significant advantage. The wedge point design is efficient, allowing for a clean split on smaller logs, and the compact size makes it easy to handle and store. I appreciate the bright orange color, which not only makes it visually appealing but also easy to spot during use.On the downside, however, I have some concerns about safety. Unlike other log splitters that come with a protective ring around the top, this model lacks that additional layer of security. While it does have a safety cover—which is better than nothing—it still feels somewhat less secure, especially when splitting larger or tougher pieces of wood. I found myself being extra cautious, which detracted from the overall convenience I was hoping for. Moreover, the price is lower compared to more robust splitters, which may appeal to budget-conscious buyers. However, it's essential to weigh the lower price against the potential safety risks. If you're someone who regularly splits wood or has larger logs to handle, I would recommend investing in a model with enhanced safety features, even if it means spending a bit more.In conclusion, the Firewood Kindling Log Wood Splitter does perform well for small-scale tasks, and its lower price point is attractive. But for those who prioritize safety or have heavier-duty needs, it may be worth considering other options with better protective features. Overall, it’s an adequate tool for casual use, but proceed with caution!

This splitter is great for making kindling. It’s easy to use and sharp enough to split wood. It’s heavy and works great bolted down. The cost is reasonable and I’d recommend this product.

Needed something to get some kindling for starting a fire. Use a 3lb sledge with this and it works great. Sharp and the wood doesn’t get stuck. It’s super easy to use and will last for a long time. Great value.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Rather than buying kindling or cramming the firebox with paper and cardboard, we can split logs easily and have kindling in no time.
