It has a strong plastic feel to it... The bulb is firm like a strong ball. I got tired of the weak ones I would get.. The plastic felt like water bottle thin plastic. This one is great. Like anything plastic... Keep away from uv light will last a long time.

The simple squeeze primer pump works nice so you don't have to suck on it to get it going. I really like it!

After 2 uses it cracked while trying to disassemble it. It's a great lenght and easy to use. Maybe if the tube was a bit wider or if the pump bulb attachment was a bit more narrow. This would have been perfect.

I recently acquired a Koi Betta fish and was able to grab this product before his first water change. This thing worked like a charm in his 1.5g tank and with just the tube (none of the head attachments) I was able to siphon his water out, clean his gravel and put newly prepped water in all about 5 mins. Literal game changer when it comes to cleaning smaller setups. Only con is the suction is pretty good once it gets goings so be careful not to suck up your fish or all the water. Luckily it comes with a guard to keep your fish out the tube but it is still capable of damaging betta fins so be sure to pay attention. It also has a valve to control the flow rate.

I was able to configure some of the pieces in the kit into a working siphon. Drains my AeroGarden in about two minutes. It has a valve so you can control the flow. I took point off because the unit has a very heavy chemical smell.

Pump worked really well, the first time. After that, a day later, it didn't pump.
