Not a bad alternative to other cages, but DO NOT BUY if you are going to run anything but the stock batteries. If you are planning to run a dummy battery powered by a V-mount mount or power bank while operating the camera, like you would in a rigged-out kit, the battery door will not be able to close. I am contemplating returning these to get the Smallrig I have with another RP that does not have this issue. Either that or I will have to file or Dremel out a piece of the battery door on a brand-new camera. It does not interfere with the native USB charging.

Cuando compras un producto barato sabes a lo que te expones. Y este es el caso. Un producto barato y de poca calidad. Puede servirte, pero a mí me rayó la cámara debido a que no encaja de manera perfecta como otras primeras marcas. No lo recomiendo. Mejor gastarse más en una marca de calidad

You’ll have to do finger acrobatics to reach under the metal to get to your cameras on switch. Especially if you build it out. They didn’t think it through.

Lo compré para mi RP, pero luego cambié a una R8 y ya no me servía, lo fabrican tan ajustado que no vale para otra cámara casi calcada de tamaño y medidas.

I usually shoot my videos from a tripod for stability. On the other hand, my cameras are equipped with cages so that I can hang all the accessories on that I use, like a microphone, a preamp and a follow-focus. Every once in a while, though, I have to shoot handheld, like when I’ve got my camera low to the ground, in a run and gun situation, with an external monitor. Then I use a top handle on my cage.This handle offers an ARRI mount to a cage which I find more convenient then a NATO rail mount which requires installing a NATO rail to the top of the cage. The handle also features a number of 1/4-20 threaded holes on the side and both ¼-20 and 3/8 threaded holes on the top of the handle, and a 3/8 threaded hole on the back of the handle. There is what appears to be a small block of wood on the bottom side of the handle, but I suspect that’s more to emphasize the manufacturer’s brand than to be useful. If you have really thick fingers, you might find the tightening knob for the ARRI mount in the way.There are a number of top handles for cages on the market with different features and they are almost fungible. Other than using the ARRI mount for a handle, you should examine a potential handle and insure that it has the mounting facilities you may need for any accessories you might add. I use the cold-shoe mount on the handle for an external monitor but I hang everything else on the cage for either my Olympus or Nikon cages. This handle does the job for me.
