This product does not fit the Canon EOS R. The grip has a sticker that says it was created for this camera, but it clearly does not. It’s impossible to shoehorn this onto a Canon EOS R camera as it doesn’t fit. The extension that goes into the camera is not shaped correctly (yes, I took the safety cap off the end), the battery door from the camera doesn’t fit where it’s supposed to, and there’s a male connector on the grip where a female port does not exist on the camera. Completely unusable. Returning.

Many times I'm out shooting and have the battery die so it's always nice to have a spare. This grip does that well. Very convenient!

You cannot charge the batteries using the USB C port on the side, the 2 small CHARGE lights do not turn on. I have wasted good money on this.
