This is a must have for hammock camping! The only bad part about hammock camping is the lack of a vestibule to stow your gear for the night. This mini hammock that hangs under your hammock is just what you need! I’ve used a couple other brands that work, but they just don’t hold up. This holds my 75L pack like a champ, and has room to spare! You can throw your boots in there for the night to keep any little critters out, as well as keeping them dry, and off the ground! Easy to reach when you need something out of it, and plenty of adjustment depending on your hammock! I use mine with a Hennessy Hammock, because it’s just what works for me.

I have two of these that we bought for a backpacking trip to Havasupai Falls. I am very OCD and can't stand my gear being in the dirt, plus there were pesky squirrels that got into everything, this solved that problem! Held our backpacks that were 30 and 40 plus pounds. Really easy to set up and adjust once you figure out the little piece that adjusts the (wire?) We just tied ours right to the carabiners that were clipped to the tree straps. You need this!

Works exactly how you think it does from the picture. Packs nice and small and will keep gear off a wet ground.The one thing to keep in mind is the height of your hammock. If you normally have your hammock somewhat low, you'll want it a few inches higher so this sling has enough slack to hang low enough below the hammock. Otherwise, once you get in the hammock, you'll bump into the gear in the sling.Admittedly, I'm new to hanging so I may have "done it wrong" - I clipped it with 'biners to the tree straps a few notches below where the hammock's 'biners were attached. The sling's lines are decent length allowing good flexibility in placement.

I thought this was kind of frivolous before I tried it out. It's great if you have any sort of gear with you that you might want in your hammock. I keep my sleeping bag and pillow in the sling so they don't get in the way when getting in or out of the hammock. Not having to reach down to the ground to get a water bottle, reading material, flashlight, snacks is really nice. I haven't been backpacking with the sling yet, but it should be able to handle a full weight bag.

This is great to use when hammock camping. I like having a place under my main hammock to store my dirty or muddy shoes as I get into the hammock. I can sit in my hammock, remove my shoes, and then reach under and put them in this gear hammock. It's a nice size; it holds a decent amount of gear and can be packed away into the relatively small integrated pouch. Seems plenty strong enough for holding gear.
