I am still assembling the engine so far the fit and quality look ok. When I put the distributor in and start the engine I will know more.

This small block Chevy oil pump shaft replaces the factory plastic coupling with a strong steel collar for reliability and durability. The overall length and distributor slot seem to be a match for the factory part. The shaft does feature a reduced diameter in the middle which could compromise strength, but I am confident the modern high strength steel makes up for it.
