...it better not be the oil pump drive shaft.Maybe not entirely necessary for my mild 390FE build but I figured if there's any chance the original drive shaft had some microfractures it would be catastrophic to find out on the road so I bought this and installed it when I rebuilt my 1967 Galaxie's engine. I just returned from a 3,292 mile road trip to Utah and back and had no issues.

Extra insurance against pump shaft failure in a Ford FE. The ends are still 1/4-inch hex, as required to mate with the pump and the distributor, but the material is top-notch and there won't be any twisting or pretzeling of the section between the hexes.
