Some Common Symptoms of Air Intake Cracks and Leaks
Check Engine Light is On
The air leak in the intake system will bring down the engine output, and the “Check Engine” light glows in your dashboard
Engine Stalling or Hesitating
A leak to the intake manifold may result in a failure to achieve the perfect air-fuel ratio and causes engine hesitating, stalling or rough idling
Poor Fuel Mileage
With a leak that is allowing air to escape from the intake, the engine will run rich and not all of fuel is being burned off during combustion
Noises From the Engine
A loud whistling or hissing noise from engine may indicate air being sucked in through the hose leak
