The wood looks pretty good! The large size isn't that big, but I was already prepared for that, and was planning to add it to some mopani and ironwood I already have. Soaked it in boiling water for a few hours, and it sank immediately, and hasn't leached too much in terms of tannins. Yes, it will grow a fuzzy film as it releases some carbohydrates that heterotrophic bacteria will eat, but that's harmless, temporary, and snails and shrimp will happily eat it. It does have jagged edges, so it's not for any fish with delicate fins.

Impeccable !! Bien faire bouillir avant et trempage obligé quelques jours avant introduction dans le bac sinon gare au moisissures et développement d’algues...

I finally took them out after realizing that these were the reason why my tank was so filled with gunk all the time. My filter intake would get completely clogged in 3 days. Took everything out to clean the sludge off and it was just pouring off these pieces. My tank is black sand with granite colored rock and these. 2 year established tank that I rescaped. I've never had this tank get dirty so quickly.

This driftwood is awesome. I received 1 large piece and 1 small piece. My last driftwood I got for my 20 gallon tank was over 6 years ago and was more similar to a large chunk of wood - it has not started to deteriorate to the point where it’s no longer recognizable in the tank. It was about time for some new driftwood as I strongly believe between the driftwood and the natural plant life/moss the levels of the water are naturally balanced to the point that my fish are thriving with minimal effort. When I received this driftwood the first thing I did was boil it for 5 hours to help release the tannins. To be honest the big piece is very root like and is kind of all over the place - even with a VERY large pot I had trouble fitting the entire thing. After boiling it I soaked it in one of those orange Home Depot buckets for 4 days - changing the water daily. Only then did I add the driftwood to my 20 gallon tank. It looks beautiful and the fish seem to love it. The shape is so unique and I was afraid at first that it may not fit as it is quite large but both the big and small piece fit perfectly in my 20 gallon tank. I am very pleased with this purchase. I purchased this for my 20 gallon freshwater tank - that has Guppies, Cory’s, one sucker fish, and snails.

I'm very happy that I purchased this driftwood. With all the options on Amazon it's hard to choose which to go with. This is a great deal with 2 pieces for the price. The pieces are good quality and have good aesthetics! They were also packaged very well.

After reading the reviews I was ready for the large piece to be a bit smaller than what I assumed. My assumptions were wildly incorrect. I thought the "large" would have fit nicely in a 10 gallon tank, but it barely reached half the length. Thankfully the "large" looks great in a 5 gallon.... I'm not impressed with the size but the wood itself is rather beautiful.

The larger piece I got looks great and is a nice focal point in the tank, and easy to tie anubias into the nooks and crannies to attach itself. The smaller piece was cut in a way that it's completely uninteresting and kind of hard to work with, no easy way to attach a plant or even make it look interesting in the tank it just looks like a small 3 inch cut of a stick.

The wood was definitely better than I expected. The small piece was about 6/7 inches long and the large piece is a bit larger than a foot. Both prices are beautiful. Larger piece has already sunk, waiting for little piece to sink. Not too many tannins have been released yet. It has been soaking for about 24 hours

Not at all as advertised in the pictures. complete lie!!! that aside i found a spot in my tank where they fit and look amazing. this is due to my ingenuity entirely and not the piece i paid for. 3 stars for the fact that with some reef glue, lead tube wire, and hours worth of positioning and work they do in fact look awesome. minus 2 stars for it looking nothing like advertised AT ALL!!!!! also very small. like below what it should have been.

Great pieces of driftwood: complex, sinewy, creative shapes unlike anything I've ever seen in the beach (but always seem to see in photographic aquariums). The smaller piece looks great in my 4.2g nano tank, and the larger could go in a 10-30g as the main feature and look great. These aren't monster pieces for a bearded dragon enclosure, they're intricate detailed pieces for a small to medium aquarium. See picture for size reference
