I had a shorter cable, it was too short so I got two connectors and two short cables. I’m running this behind a wall so I added one on top and one on the bottom. Well no go. So I got this longer cable, it works great. I couldn’t get it to go behind the wall. Oh well we will see the cable.

I see a lot of free Vine reviews but I bought this, and it's very high quality. it feels practically indestructible and I bought it because my cats keep chewing and piercing my audio cable. I don't see thst happening with this cable. if it does I will update the review.

This was the first time I've ever purchased an Optical cable to use with my entertainment setup. After trying many different options to get my setup optimized, it became apparent that a digital optical cable would be the solution to my problems. My soundbar didn't have 4K passthrough so I was not getting the best possible screen resolution but I always thought digital optical cables were a relic of the past, much like RCA cables.But these are of great quality and it allows the best available audio signal to get to my soundbar, separating the 4k video from my AppleTV which feeds directly into the tv. If you have the same issue with your setup - consider these as they are of great quality.

Switching over from analog to optical cable for sound, there is a very small difference. However, the difference is in the fact there are fewer wires to manage with this and I can switch out from one sound system to another with much better ease. This is a very nice little cable.
