It appears to be an official cable, but unfortunately it wasn't tested out by recipient soon enough to return it in a timely manner to find out that it didn't work.

This product arrived on time (with express shipping) and was as good as new, the only sign of it being used was a small amount of dust that had collected around the ports. I have been using it for months and it's great! No blue colouration, or audio issues or connectivity concerns to speak of. It is also very long and a durable tough cable. Customer service was quick to respond to my questions and yes, it is an official Microsoft cable. My only issue is the price.

Point full stop: these are the cables you want. While there are third party cables that provide as good of a signal, they (like Madcatz) - on that note, they've never made 'bad' controllers for years, they're just good only for a few months before cheap construction has bits and pieces falling off (i.e. their X360 controller, which in design is great and feels amazing...for 6-7 weeks until the sticks start becoming loose, bumpers fall off or stick and buttons stop responding - at one third the price, I guess you get what you pay for.Anyways, same goes here. Want basically the component cample for a monitor but don't want to deal with adapters that may or may not be good? This is what you want. Playing Lollipop Chainsaw @ 1440x1080 or so and it looks great. Not too expensive, spend the extra cash for the official cable instead of a cheap one.What I omitted from my display is the obviousness of 1920x1080 for 16:9 upscaled. This can be done depending on the display with component, but for anyone who owns a desktop computer and a monitor that, this should be obvious and it's much easier in that it works with far more displays than component and bears the best picture among the bunch (IMO, VGA Anyways, great cables - OFFICIAL cables - worth it for all the spare monitors you might have without HDMI or comoponent and you want to set up a LAN session

This cable works perfectly for attaching my XBOX 360 to an old computer monitor. There are also some off brand cables available that do the same thing but I figured it was worth a couple of extra dollars to get the one actually designed for this purpose by Microsoft. I couldn't be happier with this cable. It has allowed me to repurpose an old computer monitor for my kids room so that I could move the Xbox in there and they could still get some use out of it. Now it no longer monopolizes our living room TV whenever the kids want to play Skylanders or Minecraft. I only wish I had realized that such a thing even existed all this time, because honestly I just stumbled across this by accident. I would have bought it a long time ago if I had known about it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product to anyone in a similar situation.

Cable works fine for using my 360 with a 27" HP hdmi monitor and external computer speakers. There is a slight downgrade in video quality compared to an hdmi cable. Overview a cheap and easy solution for using an xbox with a computer monitor that cannot produce sound.

i bought this to play my Xbox 360 on my monitor and it works ok but the quality could be improved but I would only recommend this if you don't mind playing on non hd

Beware- this is for older xbox 360. If you bought your xbox in 2013, 2014 or later, this cable will not work. The large plug connection at the "xbox side" of the cable has no compatible jack connection on a 2013/2014 current model xbox 360 "console E" etc..

The cable works and seems genuine. I got it to help reduce the input lag on my new TV and it seems to have done the job. I already had my sound going to a sound bar instead of the TV so the fact that VGA doesn't carry sound didn't matter to me.

This cable is not the same as Microsoft's genuine VGA cable. I experienced severe image quality degradation compared to the original product I've used last year. Also the RCA /3.5mm adapter wasn't included.

These VGA cables have the same look, feel, & build of the composite cables that come with the newer versions of the xbox. They don't feel cheap, and have worked great since I received them. I was worried that they wouldn't look as good as an HDMI cable, but the video is crisp and full HD.
