Almost as efficient as the name brand Haakaa. It works well, but doesn’t perform the same. It doesn’t pull out as much milk. For the price point, it’s solid.

For the price it’s a good alternative to the real brand haaka but it doesn’t work as well for me

Very easy to use and stays on for a full feeding. I have not had time to use my electric pump between feedings and using these during feedings has been a game changer.I love having the little stopper so I can store the whole container in the fridge to get to temp before adding to the bottle and still have one to use on feedings.

These are great for small-breasted people like me. Comfortable and soft. Love that they come with the stoppers too.

These are excellent milk collectors. The set of two can be used at once or alternately and have the other one be used to hold the milk since they have caps. Super simple tools to express and collect milk rather than lug around electrical pumps, and they can also just passively collect milk during feeding or extra let downs. They can also be thrown in the purse should mommy ever need a night out and will be pumping and dumping.

These are the best unexpected find on amazon. I would have never thought to add these to a registry, but if I were to do it again I totally would! They seem expensive for how simple they are, but let me tell you, they really have saved me lots of time and hassle. The bottles are made of flexible silicone and fit over the breast. They create their own suction power and can be used to easily hand pump. I really like that unlike electric pumps they don't require a bunch or hoses that need cleaned and they don't need to be plugged in or charged. They also come with lids so they are a built in milk storage container too.

This is a great set of hand pumps! I like that it has two in the set so you can keep one in different locations. $50 is a crazy expensive price. There is no need to spend that much on these. Other brands are the same thing but cheaper.

First, the biggest negative: this is currently selling for $47!! The well-known version is selling for less than $13. Sure, this one comes with cute plugs, but I can’t see that being worth $30.Now for the good stuff: I have used electric and manual pumps and they all did the job, but were wildly inconvenient at work. The electric pumps are loud, even the quiet ones. The sound not only distracted me but probably made others uncomfortable. It distracted them, if nothing else. Refusing to pump in a bathroom, I sought a solution that felt less intrusive. That's when I discovered these types of pumps and the promise of the flexibility and discretion I desired. They deliver on that promise— with the Elate collector, I found relief from the noise and the discomfort in my hand caused by manual pumping. Being able to pump discreetly and comfortably was a game-changer for me as a working mom, although be aware that these are designed for passive collection more than active pumping. It creates the initial suction and then you wait. But you don’t wait long!I initially stumbled on these types of collectors before I started back at work. I was looking for milk collecting shields because I struggle with leakage and hated watching all that milk go to waste as a cloth absorbed it. I reasoned that if I could collect a bit per nursing session, I could accumulate a few extra ounces per day. These claimed to collect more milk than shields, and seemed like a viable alternative to my manual pump. Little did I know that it would exceed my expectations in more ways than one.Using this collection method, not only did I effortlessly collect the extra ounces per session, but I also noticed a significant increase in my milk production. Within a week of first trying them (with another brand), I had built up a substantial stash—accumulating 10 ounces of “extra” milk per day, on average. That’s milk that was just dripping away before when the other side let down as I nursed! The Elate collectors are just as good, and I collected just as much within a 24 hour period as I did with any other collector that look and perform just like these.I also love that this collection system allows my baby access to more hindmilk from the second breast during each feeding, since I’ve drawn out and collected the foremilk with the elate pump. I think it has helped alleviate her tummy issues and ensure she’s satiated. As a result, she’s sleeping longer at night, and I am not complaining! For moms trying these for the first time, I suggest being patient and giving yourself time to adapt to the different design. It doesn’t feel like traditional pumps, but with practice, you'll get the hang of it. I recommend not waiting until 2 am feedings to try it for the first time though! Guess how I know that’s a bad idea? LolIf you intend to use them as a milk-catching system during nursing, don't stress about the suction level. Simply squeeze the bottom and attach it; that should provide enough suction to cause letdown or help it along if you’re already flowing. You can use it for actual pumping too. Fold back the top, align your nipple with the opening, squeeze the bottom, and attach it. If your milk is flowing, wait for the collection bottle to almost fully open, then squeeze again and wait again. It usually takes me 3-4 squeezes to completely fill the 4oz Elate pump. Pay attention to the weight of the collector as it fills up to ensure proper suction and to avoid accidental spills. If you aren’t paying attention (like when you try it for the first time at 2 am 😂) and squeeze it when it’s full, you could end up with a lap full of milk.If the price comes down to something more reasonable, I highly recommend this! I now firmly believe that a milk collector like this an absolute must-have for all nursing mothers and should be a staple in every new mama's basket at baby showers.
