Extremely low suction. Love the look and style but no where near as good as medela. I bought this hand pump to pump directly into the bottles that my son likes but won’t be using it again.

The suction is very weak on this pump so getting a lot of milk quickly is difficult. The pump has many little parts making it hard to keep the entire thing clean easily. It is also designed poorly for use. You have to be leaning forward. This is due to the fact that they chose to put the duckbill away from the user instead of towards the user. Also the angle of the flange to the bottle needs to be larger allowing you to sit upright or slightly leaned back instead of having to lean forward to get the milk to run down to the duckbill and into the bottle.

Tried a manual pump and I wasn’t a fan,9 months later in my breastfeeding and pumping journey and I did get try again, still don’t like the Tommee tippee manual pump. I do use all tommee tippee bottles though !

Okay, so we know this is not a medela, and psa, the suction isn’t powerful. BUT!!! Do not discard this from your collection. This is great for those “sensitive” days our nipples go through. Definitely have a haaka, medela, and this in your hand pump collection!! The flange size is a 27mm but it oddly shaped like a flower. I still can fit my 19mm flange in there. It’s an inexpensive pump that really helps when you’re sore or going through a cluster feeding period.UPDATE:It doesn’t last long. It gets tedious and bad suction. It’s definitely for soreness and first time breastfeeding but after that… After about a couple of weeks it gets old.

Overall I LOVE this little pump. I had never used one before this. Now I keep it in my car in case I get anywhere and need to pump before I can feed baby. It’s small enough to be in a purse or diaper bag. It’s soft plastic on your breast for comfort during pumping. The bottle isn’t huge, which I love because I don’t pump more that 2-3 oz at a time. But that may be different for others so keep that in mind. I believe it’ll fit between 4-6.The only thing I wish was included was flange sizes/inserts. This would make it more universal for women’s sizing. But not many pumps come with that so I guess it’s normal. If you aren’t using the right flange size, you’re doing your breast a disservice. So be sure to check that

This is my first time using a manual pump and I'm actually really impressed with how well it emptied me out in under 10 minutes. I got almost 4 ounces on one side even after my baby was fed so it truly does work. But I've noticed it does take me longer to initiate a "letdown" when imitating a sucking motion. The flange is also a little too big (27mm) so I will have to buy a smaller one. But I've been choosing this manual pump over my electric one lately because of its convenience. I don't have to set up all the equipment and there are so much less parts to wash! I dreaded washing my pump parts because it was so time-consuming. It literally takes me half the time now. It's so easy and quick to put together too. The instructions are very helpful and straightforward. I boiled all the parts before my first use and they held up great. I'm really happy with this pump, it's great to have on hand for a quick pumping sesh.

I love that I can use my little one's bottles with this! my first two babies took Tommee Tippee bottles and went back and forth from those to breastfeeding. We are about to have our third and I am so excited for this! I have had a pretty good let down with both of my first two, so I hope to have the same with my third. But even with both some days they would just want some breastmilk straight from the tap, then would enjoy a nice little bottle. This fits their standard bottles too, so it saves me a bit on dishes and makes it quick and easy to feed baby a bottle after too if needed! Can't wait to put this to use!
