The bolt pattern on this mount is made to fit the remington 740, 742 and 760. It will also work for the ithaca 37 and weaver 62. The middle spread is the distance between the two middle holes, center to center, on your receiver. The middle spread on this mount is 1.648". Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount, weighing in at 2-3oz on average. Also, in many cases, it will not obstruct usage of factory iron sights. Egw's one piece scope mounts are the obvious choice for hunters and tactical shooters alike. Add egw's practical or hd scope rings to make it a complete overhaul! this mount is available in 0 moa only. Available in matte black. Custom silver anodizing is available upon request, at an additional charge of $15 (there is also a 3 month lead time associated with silver anodizing. Installation: egw recommends 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue thread locker (sold separately).

This picatinny rail is working out well....I'm just on the lookout for more length so as to facilitate some extra adjustment for eye relief and moving the scope accordingly. Just remember to use the 1 short #6 screw in the forward mounting hole, so you won't bind the bolt action (for the 742 semi-auto). This 5 3/4" allows just enough eye relief adjustment for attaching/removing the attachable monocular in back of the scope. I really like the fixed cantilever scope mount to make this adjustment simple and fast.

Cleaning up a 1982 Woodmaster for an older friend who had taken off the optics and lost the upper half of the rings that were tapped into the barrel.This was a PERFECT FIT for the original screw holes and as a bonus came with the Allen head screws, in the RIGHT thread pitch to mount this base.
